Day 118 and 1800+ miles! Woohoo! God Bless as you traverse the beautiful White Mountains. You are an oatmeal artist. You like to think outside the titaninum cooking pot!🙂

We call the compacted snow in the middle of the trail the "Monorail"

I believe Dartmouth Outing club does the orange signs on Mt. Mist, etc. Dartmouth property, probably.

That bug net jacket is super cool! And the no AT signage drove my husband and me BATTY when we were traversing the Presis.

Mt. Mucinex! I was listening, LOL. The summit and ridge with the fog among the evergreens was magical. That snow is no joke. Some serious post holes in there. Stay safe.

You are amazing! Thank you for sharing your journey. We call the solid snow thing on the trail a mono rail in NH. If you go off it you post hole up to your thigh some times.

You should run into town and get some traction devices for your shoes. There is not going to be any less snow/ice as you hike further into the Whites. And congrats on you first alpine summit!

Late May will be monorail above 4k, especially in shaded northern slopes.

Wow you're hiking along great. Making the oat meal enticing like postholing thru the trail. Bug net in place 😊
