Today we board the Disney Magic for a 3 night cruise out of Miami! We tour the ship for the first time, our stateroom 7546, Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, eat at Animator's Palate, check out Tangled The Musical, and then check out how Disney is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Disney Cruise Line, the Silver Anniversary at Sea.

Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Perfect_Day/18062757_Trade_Perfect_Day_FAQs.pdf. To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

Y’all described the feeling perfectly. To me it’s like being rocked to sleep at night. Most wonderful feeling along with the sound of the waves hitting the ship. Soooo relaxing. I tell everyone, “just try it! You’ll love it!” They don’t know what they’re missing. ❤️❤️. Another great video!
The pool opens in It’s Wonderful Life! This makes me miss the Magic so much. Also, we used your magnets on our recent Disney Wish cruise… got lots of compliments!!

I was on the Magic in July and I miss it. The Magic is definitely my favorite ahip so far!
The reason that glass is fine on the pool deck is because it's colored/painted/dyed. The main reason glass around pools is so forbidden is because if broken glass falls in a pool, it is very hard to find, and therefore very hard to clean up and very dangerous. If it has color, then it is much easier to see. Still probably not the best idea, because the OTHER reason we don't like glass around pools is because of all of the people running around barefooted. But at least it solves the first problem

I’ve been on all four legacy ships. I love all of them. They’re all similar, yet different in their own way. I love the Disney cruise line. Working towards platinum. ETA: Disney really does take immaculate care of their ships. I can’t believe the Magic is 25 years old!!! Long may she sail. 😊

The movie with the floor opening and people falling in is the Christmas Movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” and is an actual school. The kid that opened it was played by the same actor who was Alphalpha in Little Rascals.

Dinner Time Question: I'm sure you will discuss this question at some point during this series, but now that it has been a few months or more since you've sailed on an older ship can you think of any other pros and cons of this sailing? Anything you want to see come back or are glad has changed in ship design?

I have to say the ship looks great and the whole cruise looks super curated. But I don’t think I could bring myself to spend disney prices when I could book a cruise more destination oriented

Almost didn’t watch this to avoid spoilers haha but figured it’ll be ok because it’s the sister ship to the Wonder which we’ve been on, but wow wasn’t prepared for them to be so similar. The only difference was the Tangled show that was playing which we can’t wait to watch someday. Looks like the ship holds up! Courtney also agrees that life was forever changed when High School Musical came out haha. Also love the pre-dinner plate of tenders and fries, that’s cruising done right!! 😄

Their water slides are also different. The Magic has better water slides including a trapdoor slide. It’s super fun.

We just finished your series on Symphony again to prep for our upcoming sailing on 10/1/23. We’re sailing out of Barcelona on our first European cruise! Question for dinner time: what itinerary would get y’all back on a cruise that leaves from a non-US port? Do you have a specific one in mind?

When is the best time of year to cruise out of Florida
Dinner time question: though this of course varies, how crowded do you feel your cruises on Disney have been? A big turn off for us on our last cruise (alaska) was the crowds/congestion. We could almost never find a seat at the breakfast or lunch buffet. So, I’m curious how your experiences have been since I’m interested in sailing Disney one day! Your videos usually don’t show too many crowds/congestion.

It does really depend on the amount of passengers on your sailing. In my 10 Disney cruises I’ve never been unable to find any seats. It normally feels like there’s exactly enough.
Didn’t one of those older ships go into dry dock a year or two ago for refurbishment?
Still my favorite ship out of their fleet, even though it's definitely showing it's age these days.

Are there different shows at Animator's Palette depending on which ship or itinerary you're sailing? I thought that you were supposed to draw something before dinner and then it gets animated and created into a show at the end of dinner.

Not really sure, I think they do that on the Dream/Fantasy, not sure because when we went on the Dream they weren’t doing that, but it was a 3 night so maybe that’s why they didn’t do it

There’s two different kinds of shows, but you need to be on a longer cruise to experience it. If you rotate through that restaurant twice you’ll see both.
What is your favorite Florida cruise port to leave out of?
Hi Brian and Kerry, we just got off the Mariner of the seas and they are selling the starbucks been there series for the Mariner and I bought one for you, only problem is I don't know how to get it to you. We are getting on the wish right now and will get back on Monday and then going to Disney springs for lunch, soooo......either I can mail it to you or maybe you can meet us at Disney springs. I thought the Wonder was actually the first…well, they are sister ships, so, I’m guessing they’re pretty much similar…what’s weird is realizing that, in 1998, these two were considered really big ships!😊
