@@jonathanrupert5592 It was still in order of release for people that were following live. It is now in chronological order. Thanks. - AP
Great job!! Anyone can find the same old story of Gettysburg. These guys go deeper than the highlights of the battle. And every year they concentrate on differant areas of each day's fighting.

Right?! I Love it!
Love Tim Smith's passion talking about Rodes not capitalizing. And Tim is a Union man lol.

As do I.
There is so much history in Gettysburg, this series helps break it down and makes it easier to digest. Thank you.
Great series so far - thanks. Two things: 1) Target/sniper rifles have heavy barrels to minimize the vibrations that reduce accuracy, not for heat absorption, and 2) Several times it looked like a rifle was pointing at someone. The first rule of gun safety is NEVER point a gun at something you don't want to destroy (even though you believe it isn't loaded).
I am SO jazzed that the Park Ranger mentions Newville PA, that's where I attended HS & my mom still lives
Also , I love Dr Carol Reardon and the stories she tells.

I found more with her. She's amazing!
You guys have done an amazing job! Thank you for displaying the weapons and the stories behind them! You are appreciated!
Thanks to all who made this possible! Keep up this good work!
Fascinating! Great job, Men! Happy 158 Gettysburg.
Dr. Reardon, as someone who grew up in Oneida County, NY where the 97th NYVI was from, thank you for talking about their action on the 1st day. I have their regimental history and their action that day is fascinating. Also, fascinating is Col Wheelock's surrender and how Carrie Sheads hid his sword in her dress when the Confederate officer demanded he surrender it or be shot.
I'm learning so much! Wasn't aware of the happenings at Oak Hill and Oak Ridge. Good stuff. Loving these lectures!
Dr Carol was very interesting, as were all speakers.
Addictive stuff,. Well done, Guys!
Woh - cutting his wheat with that heavy sword! Quality.
That Malgee guy has great artifacts ! Very enjoyable !!
You all are great I'm leaning things I had no idea of thank you for doing this
Wow! I appreciate how much research these guys put in. It's refreshing to hear them sometimes say they are gaining more knowledge as they continue to learn themselves
Absolutely love seeing the artifacts! Thank you!
Great live stream, please continue as it is a great way to get superchats and subs!

Troy Harman is a cool dude - great speaker.
Love these Battlefield Talks, I was blown away by the artifacts you collected. Would love to try and hold one of the rifles, bet that sucker's Heavy! Great Historical Presentation, Thanks and I appreciate your enthusiasm bringing it all to life for us.
Thank you for discussing the action of the 45th New York on these fields.
Tim Smith is very engaging.
Enjoyed the documentary on Antietam’s Battle at Harpers Ferry. Thank you for sharing
This is so interesting. I love all the history of the guns
Loved the artifacts. Very interesting stories and weapon commentary. Janet in Columbus Ohio
Thank you, Battlefield Trust, for this video. I appreciate the historical narrative on the 17 PA. Both of my Great Grand Uncles (Brevet LT Col. Theodore Bean & Sgt. John M. Bean) served in the 19th PA. and were present at Gettysburg.
Hola muchas felicidades en los 158 aniversario de la batalla de Gettysburg, mi batalla favorita de la guerra civil Americana. saludos desde Puerto Peñasco Sonora Mexico.
Great views and details for the anniversary. Enjoyed the video guys.
You guys and gals are always the best! Can't get enough.
These podcasts are effing entertaining to the maximum!
I love listening to Kristopher White. Sometimes I almost think I can smell his mind working!! Very very intelligent.. Would love to pick his brain.. Has unmatched retention!!!
I love watching these videos, ive been to gettysburg 4 years in a row now and always something new to see, learn and try to visualize. One thing is the monuments and markers for the north lines and who fought were. Its the south has nothing ( i know because the south didn't want to mark a defeat ), but I think for visual and understanding history - is there markers or something that can be placed to show were they started and were they moved to , thats my hardest part of visual.
Amazing descriptions and artifacts. Thank you so much for the education!!
Thank you all for talking about lesser talked about parts of the battle. The first day's fight has been such a study of tactics for me I find it more interesting than day 3. The second day's fights also have a ton of strategy and missed opportunity.. thank you ABT and GNBP for all your research and love of the subject matter! Can't wait for videos form 159! I hope to bring my family down for 160!
Generally these types of artillery swords, which the Union side also used called the M1840, were referred to as "light artillery sabers" or "horse artillery sabers".
Love you guys. Thank you for the history
Carol rocks...! Good stuff...
What Kristopher White referred to as a hanger on the Sharps carbine is actually called a sling bar and ring.
Thank you Guys. Loved every moment!
Love the artifacts!!!!
Awesome job this is the 3rd time I watched this one and definitely not the last
My favorite historian, Chris Weitbeheindacamra.
You must be at eternal light from the looks of it
The repeater carbines like the Spencer were the true state of the art carbines because you fired almost as fast as you can cycle the trigger guard, not needing a percussion cap either.
that was a great segment on real artifacts
Excellent. Aways.
Good to see my distant cousin, Troy Harman. Hi, Troy!
History fans are special people.
Sword(s) into scythe(s). He must have looked a bit dangerous hacking away. Bit like Flint by Alan Partridge, except he uses a bread knife lol.
This is an exceptional series on Gettysburg. I am thoroughly enjoying the content and perspectives of the very knowledgeable historians. One thing I must criticize is that: There was no Calvary at Gettysburg. Calvary was where Jesus was crucified. Those civil war soldiers on horseback were Cavalry.
Great series guys and ladies. I am working my way through watching them. I have a question. During last summer, the riots, and people destroying statues etc. Was there any of that craziness going on there? I hope not. On a second note, because of one of the presenters, I'm in the process of finding out who my birth parents are so I can see what my actual history is. My adoptive mother did that on her side of the family. She did it through the Daughters of the American Revolution.
This is awesome.
Love these videos
Bravo!
Awesome!
Bunker Hill West Virginia here. I was there for the 150th
Lubbock, Texas here
fantastic recap pards *LIKED*
Dr Carol Rocks!!!
Chesterfield mi great job
GARRY YOU ARE THE BEST ❤️Greetings from Germany One question Garry, is the battlefield tour also offered in german, because my englisch is not so good?? Thanks 😘
I am actually in Gettysburg right now
Fort Garland, Colorado!
You'll ALWAYS have Ohio ❤ The 8th Ohio Regiment were from my hometown
Out of Zion shall come forth a law And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.... Nation shall not raise sword against nation....And they shall not learn war anymore...For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken".....🙏
This must have distressed the Forney's terribly. My husband's family have, since they arrived on this continent, been members of the Church of the Brethren. The Brethren are Anabaptists, a peace church.
Having watched many of these Gettysburg histories, and fascinating, by the way, I have a question: Has Garry's feet ever lifted off the ground from his furious arm waving? LOL
Hey, Garry Spartan. Go Blue!
thats a 59 sharps.. it has the patchbox.. the 63 model did not have the patchbox unless they might have modified them.. sometimes they did and its hard to tell
Anyone else operating the camera is quiet but not Garry, we got to hear from him and see his thunb even when he’s filming
hello from wisconsin
im a member of the 17th Pennsylvania, Cavalry Co F
The red-eyed deserter. Mista found the medicine cabinet. Maybe if they had found him guilty they couldn't use him in the ranks.
Where is the earlier video on the first day's battle to which they are referring? I don't see it on the page.

“And we’ll continue on with the tour while Chris White stays behind to inspect (plays with) the artifacts.”
Rodes commanded a division at Chancellorsville.
Could the thickness of the barrel of the sharpshooters rifle also be to lessen the recoil, and thus making the gun more accurate?
Carbine- a rifle platform that shoots a pistol caliber round.
that 13 lb sniper rifle. I wonder how many Yankees it sent on a Missouri boat ride!
I have a Joslyn carbine dated 1863. Were they used at Gettysburg ?
Has anyone done a plot of men and movements to help sort this out? Little markers moving, etc? Because it's clear that your folks here have a clear mental picture of how the battle unfolded, but I am unable to see it in my mind's eye.
And it was Very Hot while the Battles raged.
My m1a socom is 10lb with 20 rounds of .308
Red eyes? How does that happen?
Illinois
Thank God the Union Troops were better supplied and managed. So many dead for such an unjust cause. Great job Men and Women.
this is what they should be teaching in American schools,,,,I know they used to!!!
I don't think there was a car park during the battle
Do ya’ll give tours if I came to Gettysburg?

Hey, did that guy get his $30.00 refunded? He better have. :-) Greetings from Arizona.
Great stuff but you need to re check what " windage" means when it comes to firearms
chris go ahead and take a friendly swing....
Was there politics amidst the Conferderate leadership?
U of m. The best then there the rest
I see inversion was a Mason ..interesting
You’re handling almost 160 year old artifacts from the battle. Why are none of you wearing gloves?!?
LOL criticizing battle decisions should be left to combat veterans. Monday morning quarterbacking any of these men's decisions does not sit well with me.Human frailty exposed in these conditions only makes me look to myself. Every man that moves forward onto a Civil War battlefield was a better man than I.
