Chorus:
Whoa
Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the ole oak tree
It's been three long years
Do ya still want me (still want me)
If I don't see a ribbon 'round the ole oak tree
I'll stay on the bus
Forget about us
Put the blame on me
If I don't see a yellow ribbon 'round the ole oak tree

Haha...I was 9..old man..our whole family loved this stuff!
This was the biggest hit of 1973 and one of the biggest of all time. (In 2018, Billboard ranked it the 46th biggest hit ever.) The instrumentation was retro upon its release, and within ten years, the track sounded corny and dated, an item of ironic nostalgia. Yet, 50 years later, there's no denying this unforgettable ditty's sweet charm.

You will live forever. There is no peace. We just have to hope we don’t come back as a prey animal always on the lookout for that creature that is going to eat us 🤣 I believe in reincarnation but it has nothing to do with a soul jumping out and entering a new body. I just think something comes alive and experiences that life like you are yours at the moment. You was nothing before but you was if you can get your head around that. Like I said there is no peace and something will get born somewhere in the universe and will live. Think about it as it is a mind bender.

My Dad used play this song so much when we would go to church or pick up my grandparents. Such a nice song. Didn't understand lyrics til I got older. But sometimes it's the memory of where you were at the time the song was played rather then the lyrics meaning. Rip my loving father who worked so hard to raise 6 kids. This was my mother's favourite song. I lost her at 13 but I will never forget the memories made with her. I miss listening to the songs she loved and watching the films she adored (Grease in particular). But most of all I miss her mere presence and hearing her voice. I'm 23 now but will never ever let a day pass by where I don't have her in my thoughts. Love you mum

he isnt coming home... AMC cannot do that, because the set in which they portray as alexandria doesnt exist anymore. also, even if they could recreate it, they cannot get all the actors back for just one epsiode. it will cost too much money and time. he isnt coming back home, AMC wouldn't do that. think, they only actors we've seen from before is rick, michonne and jadis, in the ones who live. also michonne said in episode 5 that "we cant go home". Accept that this isn't the walking dead, its the ones who live. a romantic.

I will always love this song. Old songs stay classic. ❤️
can't believe how crisp the sound is
I was a teenager 13, now 61 and loved listening to Tony Orlando and Dawn. I was glued to the 📺 television watching the Tony Orlando and Dawn Show. I wish they would replay this show so that this generation would know how great we had it.

I don't know why i'm still tying yellow ribbons on the old oak tree when i know she ain't coming back anymore.
Everyone is talking 'bout the music at the 70's but nobody is saying how beautiful is the letter of the song
You do not need a lot if hits . You just need a MEGA HIT to forever take your place in pop rock History and my friends this was the definition of a MEGA HIT. I can only think what they thought after recording it....
50 YEARS AND LOTS OF YELLOW RIBBONS ROUND THE OLE OAK TREE. A #1 HIT FOR TONY ORLANDO & DAWN. (1973). IT’S GREAT TO HEAR THEM ONCE AGAIN. IT’S BEEN FAR TOO LONG, Kenneth Huang 6/24/23.
This song makes me wanna cry but of joy and happiness. It fills my heart with warmth and hope. 😊😢
