Well done! I always enjoy these discussions. I also think it’s worth noting that the contributions of a devoted collector like the late Chuck Maddox to meticulously document the minutiae of Speedmaster variants (pre-internet) helped to sustain and propel the hobby to the current levels it has achieved. He was also the original user of the term “holy grail” to describe a long sought after watch.

Only now I have "discovered" this video. Usually I do not comment but I have to as I really enjoyed it. Congratulations to all 3. I absolute love "talking watches" series (no pun intended, with real knowledge if you know what I mean) but Im always frustrated on those "only 10 minutes" so I believe there is space for these lenghtier (and so interesting) chats. Hard to comment and say all about an almost hour and 1/2 joyfull conversation but despite my, more than, 25 years of loving Speedies, owning some (never enough) and even exchanging knowledge with Chuck and Gio and some others back then, I learned something new (and you never know enough) and that is fabulous. Seeing special editions, or whatever we wanna call them (a topic in itself) beeing discussed is rare and a way of moving forward our knowledge as we did in the "early TZ" days. I fully agree on that homages should not be exact copies (even if called replicas incorrectly) as IMHO it devaluates vintage pieces and, for me, the interest. Whats interesting for some (and rightfully so) its not for me (in that way the CB case "defect" was very well exposed, obviously rare but a flaw nevertheless). It all about the story for me (am I alone in preferring the first Snoopy over the latest one?). And you, and each one of those beautifull pieces, speaked for and contributed beautifully. So Thank You, Roy, Sacha and Wei.

As a Speedmaster fan, I really enjoyed this! I have the Trilogy and I stand for it. Can you get the original? Most folks cannot. I agree that the bracelet is booo. I have to wear it on Natos. Looks great. Also not having the LE number on the dial is the way to go.

Mind you, this would've been prior to the formation of "The Committee To Reelect The President" , prior to the formation of the plot to break into the DNC headquarters inside the Watergate Hotel. @Yorkiepoocharlie it is an artificially inflated wannabe. In another light, if a Rolex is the prom queen, then the Omega Speedmaster is the chunky JV cheerleader that's very friendly at parties after 1.5 Bud Lights ... ask Wei ... he'll vouch for the latter.

@@ip_freely got a few of each brand. I prefer Omega speedmasters. They're beautiful pieces not poser watches. Rolex am ashamed to be seen wearing them nowadays.. they're usually worn by people with tons of logos all over their bags , shirts, shoes etc. Tacky now!🙄
