I think is more accurate to call this as a remake or a remastered version.

I've been listening to this cover for years, especially while i'm working on big projects for school and stuff like that. I've probably expressed my gratitude for this piece before but I just want to say as i'm sitting here procrastinating on my final project that this cover does so must justice to the original masterpiece, and every listen brings just as much enjoyment as the last. This song was one of my mom's favorites from this game way back in the day. This cover is so beautiful and astounding, it brings me such immense feelings of nostalgia and happy memories of a long time passed. She has passed away sadly; I come back to this video time and time again when I'm feeling down and have her on my mind. You made such an amazing representation of this song, I find such beauty in creative expression. I admit sometimes I tear up just playing guitar and really letting my emotions play through my fingertips, I get that same sense of feeling watching your masterful creations. Thank you for these nostalgic wonders, they really are amazing!

@@WideMouth It's not really a fair comparison; the Smash version isn't really the same song, it's more like a song based on the original. I agree that it's a great song in it's own right (maybe even my favorite from Brawl), but it fails to capture the tone and feeling of the original. This is where PPF stands head and shoulders above the rest. He captures all if it in a meticulous, high quality cover. Both are great, but in their own ways.

Essa é realmente incrível, não é minha preferida do DK2, mas é a segunda, a 1 é forest interlude, esse cover do Mr. Fart ficou mt foda.

Uma mistura de sentimentos bons e tristes... Nostalgia reviver, triste pois é uma época passada... A pura expressão da arte em games. Obrigado Nintendo.

I grew up playing DKC2 with my brother and this song is such a great reminder of the times we played together. Loved this level and song in particular. You're cover is absolutely incredible, you've knocked it totally out of the park, 11/10!

Honestly, can one find a better example of a musical remaster? It's the same but it's enhanced. Higher quality and every note honours the spirit of the original artist's composition. A skilled instrumentalist with zero need for self-aggrandizement just comes along and does something like this for the love of it? Phenomenal.

Get an emulator for your phone. It's like... $3 and you can download it to whatever devices you get. I've had the same emulator on 5 different phones over the years.

I'm a nostalgic person and sensitive to music, I don't deny that listening to it brought back a lot of memories in my head. memories of my late uncle taking me to play video games outside the house, memories of disputes with my friends to see who finished the game the fastest, memories of rainy afternoons playing and especially: Memory of accessing the game's music menu to listen that. I just loved it and it was impossible sitting here at my job not to cry listening to it. Definitely a beautiful job! Congratulations!

This is a music level that is beyond understading

I used to play all three Donkey Kong Country games with my siblings, cousins, and even my grandmother at my grandparents house. Sadly, they’ve both passed on, but the soundtracks always bring me back to those wonderfully simple days. Thanks for creating this! 🥰

Isnt that so crazy how music from old games transport you right back to times past. Video game music has always done that with me. Especially the DKC soundtracks. Mostly the 1st and 2nd ones. I was 12 in 1994 when it came out. Got it for Xmas. Best Xmas ever🤗. Now I am old.

Pessoas importantes agora me vêem as lembranças familiares e amigos de infância em uma época que o vídeo game realmente tinha uma forte ligação com minha vida no auge da adolescência ... Nostalgia profunda. Ganhei o DKC2 de aniversário em 2013 quando completei 11 anos. Na época essa música me fazia pensar no futuro, em como eu, meus irmãos e amigos seríamos quando adultos, o que faríamos da vida quando a infância e a adolescência passassem. Hoje em dia ela me traz nostalgia e lembranças, das brincadeiras e momentos difíceis - meus pais separaram-se pouco depois - daquela época que jamais voltará mas sempre estará guardada aqui dentro. É a música mais bonita que já ouvi, agradeço a David Wise por compor essa bela música que nos faz refletir sobre nossa existência efêmera na terra.

Simplesmente demais! Já perdi a conta de quantas vezes voltei aqui.

Passei minha infância jogando esse jogo virando madrugadas com minha irmã, na época tinha uns 6 anos, mdsss que saudade que emoção de ouvir essa música sem palavras, só quem viveu essa época dos anos 90 sabe o quanto era bom.. LINDA MELODIA SAUDADES!!

A lot of people forget how much the quality of a video game depends on its music. Would Donkey Kong Country have the same success without David Wise’s masterpieces? I think not.

I've always been picky about remixes/remasters of this track (they usually fail to capture the raw magic of the original) but this one actually manages to do it justice, while still bringing something a little new to the table. Congratulations on achieving something I wasn't sure was even possible.

I listened to this song cover so much during freshman year of high school during quarentine. Though it was quite difficult then with all the odd-end pandemic regulations, there was a certain peace and quiet the world had then that just isn't quite around right now, as everything's busied back up again. Sometimes, when I'm feeling anxious or when I'm by myself, I listen to this song to bring a little bit of that calmness back.

Finding your cover of Stickerbush Symphony on Spotify was my introduction to this song as I don't think I ever made it to this level in Donkey Kong Country 2 before lending it to a friend only for it to not to return. I don't think Aquatic Ambience could be beat but your cover is absolutely beautiful and is one of my absolute favourite tracks in my Nintendo & Chill playlist.

Qué hermoso me hace recordar las épocas de vacaciones o de sábados y domingos en la mañana, jugando al Snes con mis primos, las reglas eran si perdías, la pasabas, si pasabas de nivel seguías jugando, qué hermosa época en que no había que pensar en cosas de adulto.

@@miguelgonsales7131 Es Super Nintendo, y la verdad que jugarlo en consola tiene su magia, pero y tambien lo puedes jugar en emulador o comprarlo en digital en la tienda digital de Nintendo, yo tuve Super Nes en su día, la mejor época de Nintendo para mi cuando tenía a RareWare. Tengo 35 y prefiero mejor Pc o Playstation.

David Wise is a damn prodigy. Can't wait for Yooka Laylee and I hope Playtonic become HUGE. These games Rare did back in the day were absolutely marvelous. And the music...HNNNG

0nirayju Source? They mostly have coders, a character designer and composers from the old Rareware. Their main designer is from the XBox era, and many of them are brand new to the industry. In contrast, Rare still has its head designer who came up with stuff like Banjo-Kazooie levels etc. working for them.

Retro Studios are also fucking good in resuscitate the country series nowadays. The Music from Tropical Freeze is also from Wise and i love it man.

Raised in the 90's this is my childhood along with Zelda and Chrono Trigger. Still listening to these amazing covers in 2020. Much simpler times back then this takes me back. Awesome job!

Tan difícil que estaba ese nivel. Tenías que encontrar el patrón de los barriles para llegar al final. El mejor juego de todos para la SNES y el mejor soundtrack

2019 e aqui estou eu, novamente ouvindo essa música. Quando estou totalmente desanimado, pra baixo, venho aqui e ouço essa maravilha, me lembra um tempo muito bom, sem preocupações e tudo mais, porém sei que evolui muito do tempo de SNES pra cá, então ao invés de ficar triste, eu levanto a cabeça e sigo em frente, não podemos desistir nunca galera! Realmente essa música é meu hino, parece que está atrelada a minha alma kkk, não vivo sem!
