@@googlemyself4091 who? (I'm a Tyson fan) I talk about the fights that Mike won. Unfortunately, in the 80's, there was nearly no dangerous fighters in heavyweights. Only 3 very dangerous punchers : Tyson, Foreman and Razor Ruddock. Tua would have beat Michael Spinks the same way he beat Fresh Oquendo. Spink had a little chance to win on decision. Only Larry Holmes would have beat Tua on decision confortably. Larry Holmes was so skillful and could take punch. Tyson KO Holmes because he hit hard (a bit less than Tua) but was more quick and busy with good skills. A Tyson (before jail) vs Tua fight? It would be great to see. 1986-1989 Tyson vs Tua : Tyson on decision or TKO. 1990-1992 Tyson vs Tua : can go either way. After jail : 1995-1997 Tyson vs Tua : Tua by TKO late. 1999-2004 Tyson vs Tua : Tua by KO between 5 and 9 rounds. That's why Don King never chose Tua to fight Tyson after jail. He knew Tua would win and broke the buziness (Tyson was so hype after jail). Tyson had a little chance to win and Don King wouldn't take the risk.

@@himars_m142 yes. Unfortunately, Tua had a championship match with the wrong guy. Lennox was a boxer/puncher so skillful and knew how to fight short guy. Jab, jab, jab and if Tua came under Lennox guard, he would have took some monstruous uppercuts and hard right hand when he (Tua) would go outside. Lennox was the wrong guy for Tua.

Amazing puncher but that’s it. If he didn’t put you to sleep and his opponent was taller and could box Tua was WELL below average, in everything but punching. Actually, I take that back he had a phenomenal chin which is important, especially when you got hit as much as him. He had so many flaws it’s actually a miracle he made it as far as he did. His biggest problem was he was too short to be a heavyweight but there have been shorter heavy weights in the past, but they were call Dad more than just punching. For instance, people like to compare him to Mike Tyson. The Kevin Rooney trained Mike Tyson would’ve absolutely destroyed Tua. They were similar in a lot of things including confidence, but Tyson was able to overcome his weaknesse. Tua was easily frustrated, which is a serious detriment to a professional boxer, he was extremely predictable, and he didn’t throw enough punches. His corner deserves the credit when it comes to him being able to come back late in fights yeah, with Hail Mary knockouts. And he did that more than once in his career. When he was at the point where a win meant a championship fight he always came up short. I bet Tua himself would admit to all these deficiencies he had. It really isn’t fair on him either because once you start getting early one punch knockouts the fans expecte it every time, and when that doesn’t happen after three rounds, they all start booing.

He was amazing but fights like this really show his limitations. He didnt have the same ability to switch hit and change angles like Tyson or even Morrison did and he was mostly pretty slow on his feet. He often had trouble with boxer who used good leg movement and. had a solid guard defense . It also seemed like as he put on more muscle his stamina and agility suffered. This guy would be a sucker for a strait right but Tua rarely threw strait punches. This guys rolls hooks pretty well

@@westernsellers9148 I agree with that actually . 100 percent Tua beats any and all squat brawler pressure fighters. Tyson(from any era) , Morrison, Weaver, Frazier, Marciano, Dempsey, Jeffries, Tua beats all of them somewhat easily. Hes stronger and actually hits harder than all of those men and has the best chin out of all of them. His low en torque power and his amazing strength would give him the advantage against all those men. Fighters of that type rely on superior strength and power and a lower height and lower base of gravity to win. All those guys lose all their advantages against Tua and he would steam roll all of them although I dont see Frazier and Marciano giving up very easily and it would be an insane slugfest. People seem to not understand that just because Tyson was a more skilled and advanced puncher and had superior speed and accuracy he does not have enough to beat Tua. Tua is a horrible style match up for Tyson. Its should also be noted that Tyson avoided every other extreme power puncher in the division his entire career with the exception of Ruddock who had a weaker chin and was stylistically much easier for Tyson to fight (Tall , longer and not as fast or strong). Tua, Morrison, Mercer, Foreman, Weaver, Witherspoon, Cooper, Cooney and many more were all avoided by Tyson. This is not by accident. Tua and Foreman beat tyson any day of the week from any era. If Mercer can stand the early storm like the Morrison fight hed also give Tyson a difficult time altoght im not sure hed beat Tyson hed probably go the distance. Witherspoon also would of given him a bad time. Tua, not as advanced as some of those other squat pressure fighters but beats all of them himself but would struggle against someone that they would have beat like an Ali, or Holmes , Tucker, Lewis, etc etc. A guy like Rahman, a more stationary type of target who gave Tua trouble would of been destroyed by the speed, power, accuracy angles of an early Tyson or Frazier. Boxing is all about the style match up. I would of liked to see a late 90s Holyfield Tua fight. Now that would of been close good fight.
