I have some 3M 9210+ and 9205+ aura respirators. Both purchased from 3M authorized retailers. The nose wire seems to be different (maybe shorter on the 9210+) and the respirators themselves seem very slightly different in size (9210+ seems a little smaller). It was my understanding the only difference between the two is the headbands. Have you noticed any difference in the nose wire or overall size between those two? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks for you all do.

It's geniune Dr. David, the straps in the staples are strraight, the fusing of the filters are thinck (those lines), the pagkagin' doesn't have a white background on each illustration, the 3M logo is not bug, the Aura's not thinly printed, the bands are tight not slacking when new (the Aura 1870+ is better coz' it's for aerosols (blocks 100% if fitted properly, one's own fluids from say sneezes and from other people but they say viruses can get in, through the eyes but blocks oil dust particles too), instead of just particulates like 9205+ (good for oily dust particles). God bless.

It looks like all these masks have good filtration efficiency and the debate is about outgassing from a construction adhesive (?) Isn't that just a result of the sealed packaging? If that's some volatiles coming off, can't you simply unseal the package and first let it air out for some time (days, weeks?) before using? If you're in a hurry, you could pump it down in a vacuum chamber. That's not such an exotic thing, you can get them at reasonable cost on Amazon because people use them for stabilizing wood or even some food processing. I'd think keeping the package sealed is needed only for an actual sterile environment (eg. surgery).

So I got the Armbrust KN95 masks for my kid and guess what... they smell much worse than the 3M ones! The smell of "arsenic" that David the Dentist claims in 3M masks is clearly an exaggeration (arsenic does not even have any odor or taste). I have tried masks from other companies, but Armbrust is one of the worst in terms of smell. I would also add that the Armbrust uses polyurethane foam behind the nose clip that touches the kid's face. If you are concerned about any toxic materials in masks, I would point out to the widespread toxic flame retardants used in polyurethane foam, which is well documented by the EPA, EFSA and other agencies throughout the world.

Honestly the smell is not pleasant but it is not that aweful either, plus you get used to it after wearing the mask for like 5 minutes or less. These masks seem to have the best of both worlds comfortable to wear and effective filtration.

@@ahmedel-demerdash8415 ..Yes, your right and to be honest, I have been wearing respirator masks on a regular basis for long enough that I no longer notice how they smell. I'm not used to this design. I'm in Europe and FFP2/3 standards are historically more synonymous with "duckbill". Great comfort, fantastic breathability, "eye-catching" design. But with this reaction from Lloyd, I may get an opportunity to make him like "eye-catching🦆" designs 😁
