Thank you for liking my comment. When I watched the Doctor who Specials last Fall, I cried when The Doctor #14 exclaimed with happiness that the Tardis was now wheelchair accessible. I was so pleased that Russell T. Davies wrote that and gave those words for David to say. In a pretend world I and others who use wheelchairs can now travel with the Doctor. Is there anyone who can send my comments to David and Russell T. Davies? I would just like them to know how much I appreciate what they both say and do for us, fans and humanity.

@@beanwithbacon Kemi has called trans women men, pushed the Financial Conduct Authority to drop trans-inclusive workplace policies during her time as a junior minister, stalled endlessly on banning conversion therapy, before eventually saying that she thinks gender-affirming healthcare is a new type of conversion therapy. She's also restricted gender recognition laws for people who move to the UK, meaning that people from certain countries won't automatically have their correct gender recognised, she's spoken against DEI initiatives (which often benefit LGBTQ+ people), she's compared the increase in young trans people coming out to an 'epidemic', she was likely heavily involved in the guidance for schools on trans pupils, which forces teachers to out trans children to their parents and bans social transition without parental consent, and probably also the RSHE guidance, which among other things bans the discussion of gender identity in schools at any age. She also put through legislation preventing all new non-residential buildings (eg restaurants, offices, shopping centres etc) from having gender-neutral toilets, and she's led the fight for changing the Equality Act so that sex refers to sex assigned at birth, not gender, or sex as changed by a GRC. So yeah, she's transphobic, and her policies harm trans people.

Anyone else have the sound completely not work on this video? Like I was trying to find out what the problem was for over an hour. Even the one other yt video with this clip had no sound either. The rest of the video had sound, just the speech was silent. I clicked on the link in the description and that version was silent too. Then I asked my friend in another city to see if it was working for her. It was, but during our phone call this video's sound suddenly started working and now they all do. Anyone ever come across this creepiness before? I haven't. Edit: it fixed itself. I didn't do anything. I'm still creeped out and I suspect yt is blocking content.

Such a beautiful, compassionate man. I'm so so proud of the immense courage he continues to model in standing up for the rights of activists and money-hungry clinicians to convince vulnerable, confused and emotionally fragile young people-- who would likely just grow up to be same-sechs attracted-- to show these young people that there's actually something wrong and defective with their beautiful, healthy bodies, and how they were obviously truly meant to be straight all along. Mr. Tennant is doing *such* important work in helping to trans the gay away. And don't even get me started on those Conservative, Christian-fundamentalist lesbians who think they have some kind of right to oppress transwomen by excluding them from their dating pool; luckily we have straight allies like Mr. Tennant here to help show the world just how bigoted and hateful those gays are for daring to be gay.

Which was the fact that a majority of young people presenting at gender clinics (like the recently disgraced Tavistok clinic) are same-sechs attracted; and from previous studies we know that 70-90% of GNC young people who present with Dysphoria/gender confusion will experience an abatement in these feelings with the onset of puberty-- if not immediately affirmed and medicalized-- and will grow up to be otherwise happy and healthy gay. adults. Leaks and whistleblowers from the Tavistock revealed that some clinicians-- noticing this trend among the young people presenting to the clinic, as well as the marked homophobia in some parents (who would prefer a "straight son" over a lesbian daughter, for example)-- they would joke amongst each other that there would soon "be no gay people left". That is what we call "transing the gay away"; and it reveals how the L, G and B-- as you rightly pointed out-- are often at odds with and incompatible with the T as an overarching community/movement.

I'll take a leap that they were/are intelligent people who judged people by their actions not by the shape of their bodies, how they felt about themselves or by their intelligence levels. David's attitude is part of effect, not cause. As with Atheism, which would be pointless were it not for the existence of Theism. Atheism being an effect of Theism. If a society doesn't want uber-woke backlash then just let people exist in the name of decency and no malice and hatred? The only reason for this woke noise is the anti-woke counter-noise. It is actually that simple to just take it all down to a reasoned simmer and without all the rabble-rousing and assertions and shaming. It might actually help. To paraphrase: The sleep of reason is the wellspring of monstrosity. To get rid of monstrosity, remove unreason. It is not reasonable to bully and target minority and divergent populations with hatred and furthermore not expect a countermovement. That's what the rainbow flags are for! To some, David's comments may be monstrosity, but it is effect of monstrosity. The cause needs to look at itself before criticizing. And moving right to the cause, the importance of consent between biological genders and the non-invasion of private spaces needs to be drummed in at school age!! That should be mandatory!

Tennant claims to think that males can be women just by saying they are. He is not one to talk about common sense. Also, I don’t think Badenoch ever said a man can’t wear a dress or make up if he wants to. Men should have more fun with fashion without critique. The argument is don’t lie about material reality and don’t dismiss or undermine womens rights in deference to a fundamentally sexist ideology.

He doesn’t claim that. He thinks gender, the human conceptualisation, is complicated enough that despite it being a cultural product of sex, the biological construct, a persons gender can be different from the one they were assigned at birth (on the basis of their sex). Even sex isn’t black and white, with a large variety of intersex conditions being present in humans such as mismatched genitalia, chromosomal differences (males with XX for example, or even XYY), and vast hormonal differences between people of the same sex. It’s okay for you to disagree with these ideas from my point of view, but mischaracterising the worldviews of others by describing them in ways to suit your agenda through emotional appeal is illogical.

APA, 2023 If this is what you buy into, then you buy into the notion that a woman is defined by societies expectations of appropriate behaviour of a woman. It says it right there. The roles, behaviours activities and attributes that society considers appropriate. This is a fundamentally regressive ideology. (And its comical that you accuse me of being illogical, when gender ideology is if not offensively sexist, the most illogical, inconsistent nonsense that I've ever encountered.)

I was correcting a deliberately misleading wording you used to describe the current gender ideology that Tennant is championing. If you want to really try to change minds and convicingly spread your ideology you’d be better off being more accurate as to what the other side of the argument actually is, otherwise no one will take what your saying seriously, as your bias is too obvious.

And if you re read my first comment, I said he believes that males can identify as women. I didnt say men, I said males. So even though they're synonymous to me, I was actually respecting the gender ideology argument that they're two different things. In gender theory, male is the sex class, and man is the gender class. So even according to gender ideology, I worded it correctly. It is what he champions.

EVERYONE is saying let kids be kids. (Except possibly those state legislators in the US who were trying to bring back child labor.) We're not in disagreement on that. If you're saying kids shouldn't be told in a child appropriate way that gay and trans people exist, then ... why? I read about where children came from when I was six. That didn't mean I wanted to go out and have sex, or that anyone was telling me to. It just meant that I knew. (And that sex seemed nothing but gross to me until I was well into my twenties, so actually, if you want kids to not be intrigued, maybe DO tell them... 😂)

You need to accept that being gay or straight isn't an adult thing. It's a human thing. Kids learn about mummies and daddies..how to respect them. We talked about them in school. We talked about families, cultures etc. You however hear the word gay and think "SEX, SEX ITS ABOUT SEX". Yet we happily talk about straight crushes in school. " have you got a girl you like". Valentine's day for kids. No-one gives a shit about that. Because it's you that has sex on your mind. You that only sees gay people as a fetish. And even then most kids have standard sex education. We don't say "its teaching kids to have sex" do we? Yet you say that with including sexuality in sex ed.

He doesn't know what he's talking about, his quip about kemi badenock was intended to convey a serious point which is that he thinks there is no merit whatsoever in the objections that Kemi Badenock is raising about her concerns regarding women's spaces and her concerns about the spread of gender identity ideology and the impact that that has. This is a very easy target that celebrities tend to align on this issue and the reason they align on this issue is they know absolutely nothing about it. David Tenant hasn't got the first clue about the subject that he is pontificating about and this is obviously very common with celebrities they do this all the time. It's worrying and he should be criticized for this because this is a very very serious matter. David Tenant effectively is contributing to this climate in which anyone who raises concerns about the gay conversion therapy that's going on on the NHS as we saw from what happened at the Tavistock Clinic, who raise concern about the fact that women's spaces and rights to Single Sex spaces are being eroded people who raise concerns about rape victims who who want to have single sex care want to be able to go to a domestic violence Refuge Center that doesn't include men. Women who are concerned about men in their prisons all of these things are incredibly serious and David tennant is just one of the many who hasn't thought about it who hasn't listened to any of the counterarguments who has deliberately insulated himself so that he doesn't need to listen to those arguments. Who has framed any opposition as a form of bigotry and as a result of that feels that he is not obliged to listen to these very very legitimate concerns that feminists and gay rights campaigners have and what he is effectively doing is spouting incredibly anti-gay ideas the idea that it's perfectly fine to medicalise young gay people if they are same sex attracted. Thats the what gender identity ideology promotes we've seen that from what happened at the Tavistock Clinic we've seen it from Hannah barnes's research, that between 80 and 90% of adolescents who were referred to the Tavistock were indeed same sex attracted. So when you promote this idea that you must affirm a child's chosen gender in the vast majority of cases those kids are just going to grow up to be gay you're effectively heterosexualizing, 'fixing' gay kids the in the name of progress, so the the point is he doesn't understand the very real issues.

Congratulations to David Tennant for winning the least coveted award on the planet. Hate to be picky but did he neglect to state his preferred pronouns. It seems even the best can't be perfect 😊
