Yes, the Harpist Dorothy Ashby is someone I knew since the 1960`s and was fortunate enough to work with on other Artists Projects, talked with Her, touched Her Harp I am sure because as I said I was always Interested in the Sound of the Harp. And other Harpists let me touch their instrument but I never really played it, just imitated it on my Guitar.

@Odawg96 My playing of just a few notes/sounds and being recognized, is a compliment that with humility I accept graciously! Thank You and Your Father and your trying to imitate me or my sound are more words or feelings I appreciate. I have always felt the Sound/Music belongs to whoever hears it and wants to use it, then We are both twice blessed! Thank You for finding me and saying Hello.

That is a very comfortable looking instrument. Thank you for explaining your settings etc. Not many guitar players give out intimate details like that. LOL. Your generosity definitely restores my faith in humanity when I sometimes feel all is lost! ha ha.

Once more, the epitome of elegance within music. This level of (not only) talent but peaceful vision is becoming rarer as we move increasingly into the arena of "'attitude"'/ oneupmanship. Guitar playing has taken on "'Blade Runner"' proportions. I hope one day that the attitude will be replaced by more visionaries like Mr Walker and others like Sonny Greenwich. They are my heroes. Best wishes as always to Mr Walker.

Oh man, thanks so much for this video! I was trying to learn that beautiful guitar part from 'you sure love to ball', and ended up looking on wikipedia to find out who played the guitar on it. When I saw about 7 names for the album I thought I'd never find out, but as soon as you started playing on this interview I knew it was you. Thanks again, and your playing is sublime, I've never thought a guitar could sound so pretty!

@GreenzMusic The brand of guitar is a Custom made just for me by John Carruthers here in Los Angeles, CA The neck and fretboard is a copy of a Gibson Byrdland I played for over 25 years, it has a piezzo acoustic pick up and an EMG electric pickup. Man! From about :25 to :42...whenever I heard THAT sound, I KNEW who as playing even without the album credits. I always used to say that's David T.'s TRADEMARK! I heard that trilling sound on so many of my father's records, it was ridiculous: Marvin Gaye's '74 live album, YOUR albums, the "Mellow Mood" intro from Barry White, etc. Never mind that I spent my early years as guitarist trying to IMITATE your sound. This has been an awesome find!

You probably know on my website there is some information on what I have done and am doing recently. The STRINGS I prefer/use are D`Addario 1/2 rounds regular light gauge! Hello David T. I hope this message finds you well. What I dig about your signature style is the fact that it stands out. Theres nobody that sounds quite the same. I must ask. Are your strings riding low against the Fretboard or is this sound a result of your strumming technique?
