What a glorious interview - please KZread let it never be deleted. David is such a wise soul - and has an extraordinary ability to speak yoga in plain English. Great interviewing technique from Scott. Poignant re the late Matthew Parry.

Great podcast. David insists there aren't gurus, that the practice itself is the guru, and he is right, of course. Yet when someone comes across as authentic as David, they become the embodiment of the principals they carry and teach, and in a way, a kind of guru.

Tra- does not mean "to free" or "to deliver", it'i a suffics which means "smth. with what smb. does anything" i.e. "tool". So mantra - is a tool for thinking of concentrating the mind.

Scott is not a good interviewer; sorry but it’s an art and he let David down with a lackluster style - also, the story of abuse is old hat and unnecessary….. ❤

Thanks for your comment. You don't have to say sorry. I'm not for everyone and I'm still always learning 😉... As for the abuse, I'm sorry that you think it's old hat. I feel there is always still so much to learn about how to be better... David & I still talk about it a lot when we are together, about how we can be better teachers because of it... Thanks again for your words 😊
