Respect Mr Soul ! Hutch, immortel ! David, inoubliable ! ❤😭

David Soul has morphed into a decent human being. In his early days he could not handle the massive adoration, fame and fortune. I like him best as a folk singer. Now he lives in the UK he seems at peace with himself.

I'm a fan of David's work, but I often regret watching any interview where he talks about his past problems. He distances himself from was he did with language like "there was that" instead of "I did that." He minimizes what he did too. I grew up with a father who did the same things (except the drinking), and I notice his minimizing behavior because it's like watching my own father years after my mom threw him out. David happened to be at his worst around the same time my dad was. I hope David has since worked hard to help his kids heal from his shortcomings as a father, putting their needs before his own and resisting the urge to downplay anything, no matter how strongly he may have the urge to do so. The pain from violence, drinking, or unchecked anger last in kids for many, many years and affects them deeply in their adult lives.

Tracymmo I am SO incredibly sorry for what you went through with your father and how it has effected your whole life. I was pretty much neglected as a child, grew up on a farm with nobody anywhere near to play with, and to this day, almost 60 years later, (going back to when I was 5), I still have a very hard time socializing. Your story makes mine feel like a walk in the park.

@@rohansrider That is something that is personal and none of your damn business. If you want to be upset, check out Nick Cannon, "He has welcomed 12 children since 2011: Monroe, Morrocan, Golden, Powerful, Zion, Zillion, Zen, Legendary, Onyx, Rise, Beautiful and Halo. Nick Cannon's children are the joy of his life." (don't believe me? Google it!!) I bet they're all going to LOVE him when their classmates make fun of their names!!! If you can afford to have them, and take care of 6 kids, that's great! We only had 2, and even though I wanted a 3rd child, I'm glad we didn't. I had health issues that would have been made harder to deal with in the early years of their lives, and that isn't fair to them. Look at the Duggars "19 and counting" although their one son probably made them wish they would have stopped sooner since he was sexually abusing at least one of his own sisters and one of the sister's friends.
