    It's really a shame a large number of people only see him as that guy with John Mayer. His talent is too great to be relegated to that.

    This guy went to my high school. 20 years before I went. Now I see where all the hype over John Mayer came from. No doubt this guy has influenced John, and honestly, John is good. Great even. But this guy lives that acid jimi rock blues groove vibe life! Having listened to Mayer for years and only now discovered him, I feel like this guys got to be Mayers influence. I also feel on some level he was ripped off. He is that Mayer vibe, the Mayer vibe was ripped off of him. He definitely doesn't get the clout he deserves

  • @aconfusedshoe6240

    @aconfusedshoe6240

    John Mayer never ripped him off. They did shows together before they both blew up and had the same influences growing up. John was a bluesman from the start but eventually chose to do his own thing (pop blues/ soft rock blues). John although being influenced by a lot of blues guy, never ripped anybody off if you think about it. He just chose to create his own unique finger print in music where as this guy stayed to his bluesy roots. Simple.
