A smaller part. Sound System in England played a BIGGER part IN England BEFORE the radio was even endorsing Reggae.

Fantastic , and im a maryhull boy maself , loved this , class.

I remember David Rodigan from the 1970's, way back when I was at school, he's been going for ages, as I recall, as well as doing the radio show 'Roots Rockers' on Saturdays, he also used to be one of the DJ's at Gossips Dean Street, West End as well although I never actually went to Gossips myself, I went to a few raves in my own area, Rodigan must be getting on a bit, well we all are from that era I guess Lol, glad he's still around though, things sure have moved on since those days, such is life eh?, thanks :)

Man been doing it from time, I’m about his age ans was going to Gossips on corner of Dean street and Meard street and it was called Billys before that. Not a dangerous areas like futher down Berwick street where the pros ad their pimps would hang out much later at throwing out time! Rodders would drop 7 inch vinyl back then and it was a big people club with no nonsense door policy! Peoples club in Praed street was another place reggae was heard back then in central London amongst a few others Good times and no foolishness when raving

Scott Darroch That is bollox you are talking. Black, white and yellow skinned people have been playing reggae together since the early 70, Keith Richard plays the solo riff in Shine Eye Gal. Sly and Robby had a Chinese guitar on most of their albums.The Mikey Dread Album called *Pave the Way* has the *Clash as the musicians. The Clash were an all white UK punk rock group. I could go on and on but I simply said I had never heard of Rad.
