I wish this was the actual 20 minute special versus an 11 minute review.

David Pumpkins is the Santa Claus of Halloween

I feel this was underrated. I loved the cartoon special. I actually paid a few bucks on KZread to watch it whenever I want, maybe annually. You had to have watched it to like it at that time.

This is truly Tom Hanks's greatest role xD

david s pumpkins is the greatest snl creation other than stefon and whatever the hell pete davidson is doing, and this special killed me. hearing the word "canterndy" at 1 am on a monday instantly sent me to tears. as much as snl isnt like it used to be, there are some gems.

How can you forget about him when he is super popular during Halloween time.

SNL doesn’t exactly have a winning track record of turning bits into more than just a bit ... Blues Brothers and Wayne’s World are awesome examples. It’s Pat, A Night at the Roxbury, Ladies Man, Superstar, and MacGruber are more what they’re known for.

I was ten when It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown premiered in 1966. I bought The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special because I regard it as being on-par with that storied Charlie Brown Halloween Special of fifty-five years ago.

I showed my kids this year. They loved it! They're little though. It's 2021, and I just remembered this on a whim. So I showed it to them. New family tradition, I guess.

Yeah, the too-cool vibe doesn't work for me for something like a nostalgia/comedy review channel or whatever this is.

I’m probably one of the few who literally never got one tiny iota of it... But I mean the reference to Slenderman here has literally reminded me that The Arrival exists merely to make me play it and scream and then notify myself that it wasn’t really all that good... Oh because David Pumpkins is the same... But... Funny? I’m probably getting this wrong but... That seems like it to me... And, I like the utter intended stupidity of Tim & Eric... Which isn’t intended to be a quality show but literally is because it’s off putting humor brings a laugh that is hard to explain... Just not as hard to explain as the hilarity of Eric Andre who is still IMHO the best awkward humorist on Adult Swim and I still won’t rest till that block gets it’s own network or maybe we just get a friggin Adult Swim block on another streaming service... Like HBO MAX.

all I wanted to do was to try to explain to my boyfriend the history of David Pumpkins but instead I ended up here... a video full of toned down ridicule towards the almighty David S Pumpkins and I also can’t help but feel a little called out and ridiculed myself for I am a devout follower of Lord Pumkpins .... David S Pumpkins ... why can’t this Character just be a character without each an every thread of his made up existence being critiqued by someone with an over active brain and an editing software. I mean I’ve seen and heard people go hard on the philosophical breakdown of spongebob episodes but this just like kidnapped my train of thought and took it somewhere it never needed to go... in Lord Pumkins name way pray.... oh lord pumkins give me the Jack o lantern light I need to be able to see past all this and the B-boy skeleton skill to dance my way out of this dark and philosophical degradation of the almighty power of David S Pumkins who art thy lord in the cosmos of Pumkins above. I mean really I wasn’t trying to criticise you however this entire video I felt like was a barbed conversation regarding Pumkins himself including his band of followers, but also like .... why can’t shows be shows and characters be characters without being over dissected for no availing reason?😂 I saw this video as a cry out for help to be rescued from impending boredom, you didn’t seem to be a Hot raving fan of the character in the first place as implied by the tone carried for the entire duration of this mini documentary. And for me I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to make a whole video about something I hadn’t much interest in than other topics that would draw more of my enthusiasm, especially if I wasn’t being paid to do it .
