Favorite male singer. Period. He feels every word.

Went and saw David sing at his house this year for a Christmas show. Can confirm that it's even stronger in person. His cover of Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing at the age of 50 is incredible. Truly one of the most talented voices of all time.

I have been very fortunate to see David Phelps perform this live and it was incredible!

I get chills every time I hear this. One of the greatest vocal performances I've ever heard. BJ: "I've heard "O Holy Night" so many times" Asia: "Never like that though".......so true Miss Asia, so true.

All I can say is WOW,WOW and WOW!!! Breathtaking!!!!!

The piano player was the legendary (in Gospel music) Anthony Burger. I heard Anthony play LIVE when he was just 16 yrs old. Burger suffered severe burns to his body & hands as a baby. The Docs said he may never regain use of his hands......instead he was accepted at a music conservatory at age 5. He was playing a classical repertoire w in a few years. He had an impressive career and passed away during a Gaither Gospel Cruise performance aboard ship. Ppl in the audience noticed he stopped moving; slumped over the piano...he was carried off stage and in spite of 45 minutes of CPR, he died of a massive heart attack. He was 44 years old. RIP Anthony

This is David's favorite CHRISTmas song, he sings it every night of his CHRISTmas tour, it is incredible live, an outer body experience for sure.

David Phelps is a fellow Texan born and raised in Tomball, Texas near Houston! To me, the best male vocalist alive!!!

Phelps has one of the greatest male voices of all time. Any live performance you pull up is amazing. He does a duet with his daughter called Water. Also, had to go to a job site in Forney last week and ate at a really good burger spot called the Burger Shop. Great burgers.

David Phelps has one of the most amazing voices I have EVER heard. There are a handful of singers that when they sing a Gospel song it is as though they have an extra gear with added power and passion and when they sing it is like the song penetrates and consumes your entire body. David Phelps and Elvis Presley are two that come to mind that when they sing a Gospel song you can see that they are putting every ounce of their being into the song and it becomes an incredible experience for all that hear it.

It's not so much that they put every ounce of their being into the song, it's that the Holy Spirit of God infuses & inspires their being while they're singing...it's one of the ways God speaks to us humans...through that Spirit...and it gives most of us the that electrifying feeling. Listen to that Voice when it's "speaking" to you!

Best rendition EVER!!! And the piano is superb as well!! Phelps is from a small town in Texas (Tomball), my wife went to school with him. It is my understanding he is the most humble person ever. What a talent God blessed him with!!

Best tenor in the world today! You should hear him do Nessun Dorma Live. It's an Aria from an Italian opera which I know nothing about. However, sometimes a song is so beautiful that you don't have to know the words to still be blown away. It's been done by all of the greats, Pavarotti,Bocelli and on and on but this dude's version? Trust me. Love what y'all do.

Love your reactions to this performance! You guys should check out more from Bill and Gloria - they are two of the most prolific composers of gospel music. Ever. They wrote Because He Lives, The King Is Coming, and at least several hundred, if not a thousand, more songs. And David really is tops in the tenor field. Sadly, the pianist, Anthony Burger, died of a heart attack while on a cruise playing for the Gaithers, but he was excellent as well.

Welcome to the world of David Phelps. He is absolutely amazing. He sings gospel but more recently he has released secular music. Bill and Gloria Gaither is a Christian organization that preaches the word through word and song. You should check out Gaither Vocal Band as well. There has been different members over the years but they are all great.

Went to a David Phelps concert about a month ago.Tthey were running a video on the large screen as the show was opening. During the video they showed several YT react influencers to David's songs and then all of a sudden on the screen were two of my favorites Asia and BJ. Just wanted you guys to know. God Bless.

Im so glad you did this one. I was raised in the Southern Baptist church and have so many memories from the 90s and 2000s watching and listening to David Phelps and the other Gaither members with my Grandma. Ahh Southern Gospel is a vibe!

He is a classically trained counter tenor but he can also do soul and gospel song and considered as having a most resonated voices on earth! Please react his song "No More Night" you will surely blown away by this song

David, in my opinion, is the best singer I have heard, yet, and at 72 years old, I've heard (live) many performers! I have seen and met David at least 15 times in the past few years. He is an excellent singer who loves the Lord; he's humble; takes his music to heart; and is actually a funny guy, yet serious. Please...more David Phelps! A few suggestions, if that's ok: Just As I Am (Stories & Songs, Vol. 1); I Have Nothing (Whitney Houston song which he does at the age of 52); Hello Beautiful (tearful); and A Song for Sinners (mentions the nameless, the rich and the famous, sinners, saints, believers, and much more). Not a song "lecturing" those who have committed a sin because in one way or another, we all have. There's only one perfect person! Thank you! You guys are awesome!

Incredible performance of a gorgeous song! It's been a favorite of mine for many years. It's simultaneously a song that you want everyone to experience but not in a state of unpreparedness. Bill and Gloria Gaither are songwriters of many many hymns, some of which you may find in your local Church Hymnal. Just a FYI...I saw David in concert in Sparta TN about 2 weeks ago. When he and his band came back from intermission he showed clips of people reacting. Many great Gospel singers were in the Gaither Vocal Band over the years. I only heard David referred to as "The Voice". At 5:37 you see another Gaither Vocal Band member, Mark Lowry, in the red shirt and dark blazer over David's left shoulder. Mark wrote the lyrics to "Mary Did You Know?" in 1984, which became one of my favorites the first time I heard it.
