A few months ago I had a stroke. I knew I was dying. The peace of God that passes all understanding was in me. It was more REAL than REAL. Things of this world passed away and nothing was left but love. I knew without a doubt that I was in God's hands. It was beautiful beyond words. l heard some of my children telling me they love me through their tears. In prayer, I asked my Lord if I could live longer for my children. Everything turned around at that moment. God is not done with me yet. I am fully recovered and it is all because of Him! To God by the glory forever and ever! This song ......I understand. I will never be afraid to die again. Someday all who believe in Jesus will fly again! Praise Him!

Your talents are beyond anything I ever heard in my life. When I left the church, I left music behind me & finding your channel has reignited my love for music. Wow man!!!!! I must have this song played at my funeral! My family must know I will fly again!

My niece is 51 years old and dying with cancer taking her fast. I know that she is saved and so thankful that I will see her in heaven. PTL. Thank you for this song!

My ex daughter-in-law passed away after medically induced comatose for 10 days from Covid complications at aged of 43 . I truly believe God sent her angels to escort to her Heavenly Father. May God of mercy and compassion will comfort her three children.

What a powerful and Beautiful song and what a great testimony and what a great God we serve my mom and sister both died of cancer at Young ages my mama was 64 and my sister was 49 but I know I will see them in heaven again one day but most of all I want to see Jesus the one who died for me so that we all may come to Jesus when we mess up and we can ask him to forgive us the grace of Jesus is so wonderful and I cannot make it in this world without Jesus he is my rock and my salvation and when my mama died I cried a little bit but it was so peaceful I felt the holy spirit of God in the living room where she passed away and I was once told that is the closest you will get to God on this Earth is when he comes down to get one of his Saints and my sister was in and out of consciousness before she died and when she was out of consciousness my sister who was there with her sad that she had a smile on her face and when my sister said why are you smiling she said Mama is here to take me to heaven my sister told her to go and she did not live long after that and when you are a child of Jesus death is a beautiful thing scripture says precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of one of his Saints❤❤

I really feel like God has forsaken me. It is 3:30 am and here I am living in my broken down jeep at 71, hungry. Hungry for my belly is empty, heart so broken and hungry for the love I have been denied. I have tried to rid this evil place but here I am. Next week I'm heading to the mountains of Georgia. I so love your poetry put to music, David and find some comfort in listening. Thank you.

I wonder if you know David how deeply you bless so many of us with your writing and singing. I lost my youngest brother recently to early onset Alzheimer’s. His wings were broken too. Jordan loved birds, so your lyrics of wings and flying caught my attention first and made me smile. But then the real joy came when you gave me such a vivid picture of Jordan in heaven, in the arms of God, angels applauding. I can picture us face to face again and hugging. Jordan is a great hugger!

Amazing song. We hope not as the world hopes. We WILL. see our loved ones again. AMEN.

@@lauriandawkins7264 the day before my Grandpa died I went to see him, he was so ready to go home, he woke up and saw me there, he grabbed my hands and pulled me to his face, I could see the turmoil in his eyes, so happy to see me but so disappointed that he wasn't waking up in Glory yet. This song truly is everything about my Grandpa, in every word. His wings are healed and he soars with the angels in Heaven.

This really blessed me, especially after the recent loss of my mom, who at 95 went to be with the Lord. Even at her age it it's hard to realize she is gone, but knowing she went straight into the hands of our loving Savior & Father, it's comforting to us who are left behind. Thank you David.

When you see David, you see a man who sings from his heart of love for his Lord. A man who honors God by using his blessed beautiful voice and music. You see a man blessed by a loving wife and wonderfully talented chidren. You can see his love for them and theirs for him. He just loves people. I can't go to church anymore, but when I hear him sing I feel like I am there. I run my battery down every night! Thank you God and thank you David. I love the Gaithers too!!!

My best friend just passed yesterday at 39 years old. He had gone through hell these last 4 months. I'm a mess and I'm gonna be lost for a while.

I have listened to this song so many times. In September I had a three week fight with Covid. In the middle of the fight my mother-in-law passed away and my uncle passed away with Covid. This song is so comforting. I’m still gaining my strength back. 💜✝️

What a beautiful voice! God has given you such a wonderful talent! I wanted to tell anyone reading this something really important. One day we are all going to stand before God. If you have ever lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain (omg) which is called blasphemy , hated someone (which God consideres murder) or done other things that are against His law ( the Ten Commandments), He sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, murderer. He will judge us, and because we have all broken His law, we ALL deserve hell. But because He loves us, He became a human about two thousand years ago, lived without sinning, and died a terrible death He didn’t deserve because of us. Three days later He rose from the dead and one day He is coming back. We all deserve the ultimate punishment (hell). But God loves us so much that He took the punishment on Himself. We broke Gods law, Jesus paid the fine. If you repent from your sins ( sincerely apologize for breaking His law and turn away from doing it anymore) and trust in Him and Him only, your punishment will be paid for, you will get eternal life in heaven, and you will no longer go to hell. I’m not telling you this to judge you. The thought of you going to hell terrifies me. I don’t want anyone to go without hearing this wonderful news. Thank you whoever took the time to read this. If you have a Bible, I suggest you read the book of John. You can find many Bible apps on devices. I pray that you and everyone who reads this will think about this seriously. Oh David this touched me deeply. My husband is in the last stages of heart failure. He is going through so much. We have been through so much together, our hearts entwined. I am in severe pain constantly. Life has become quite hard but our focus is still to make each day count and reach others for God. But this world is not our home! We will fly to the arms of our precious Savior. David I watch you nightly. Your music blesses me, touches my very soul and lifts my heart to worship. It helps me when the pain robs me of sleep and makes me weary. Yet I know where I am going and I know He is watching over me. I find joy in his presence! May God bless you in your work for him.
