was fantastic, only critic is and I might be missing this but he needs to put "his" touch on this more. That cute, wearing the head tuque in the middle of summer look is good but it's just been "done". Maybe a little more "Twang" to make it yours. I don't know, if I did, i'd be his manager but it's 6 years later and i'm here. But the guy is good for sure.

One of the best songs ever penned.yet not covered that much. Listen to Elvis sing it ..his best work..and you understand why other singers won't attempt it.this cover OKish..but Elvis puts you in that house in the projects after city council pulled all social care and let smack flood the place.. And I'm not an Elvis fan.don't like rock n.roll. but soul from a white man can sometimes just add something extra..

Elvis mumbles through half of his songs.. And was drugged out during most of his performances of this song.. If you want an honest version of this song you have to go to who wrote this master of a song; Mr. Mac Davis is your guy.

Yes, not a guitar mike. Its a fairly directional vocal mike Although you don't get the luxury always, I've been able to ask for a second mike for radio and tv shows. Another option is to bring a little very, clear amp at low, low volume to help reinforce guitar and voice both. It is very much secondary however.

Sound better if he played the correct chord sequence. Bb, Dm, Eb, E.

Beautiful acoustic version. Puts Elvis to shame.

Sorry, I know he's trying but it's monotone..both the singing and playing..lacks the haunting soul this song needs. Becomes just another country style song.
