Born in the uk in the 50’s and had terrible asthma there so my parents moved us to Jamaica , the asthma dissappeared but I had the worst hay fever . I had to have a roll of toilet paper in my pocket at all times - sneezing and runny eyes for yrs - no seasonality to it . Then moved to Canada 30 yrs ago -city and country living - never sneezed again . Thank god. But yeah you can have hay fever in the tropics . Great vid by the way - love this trio.

I lived near Cuyahoga National Forest for a few years, close to a really nice scenic waterfall. I was there often with my young daughters. The schools in Akron and Cleveland would bring kids on nature field trips to the falls (and a fairly easy 2 mile walk, largely on pavement) and you could definitely tell when a group from the hood got there. Everyone appreciated the falls, but then they had to walk up a small rise to a long, fairly steep downhill path into the woods. Every time you would hear at least one kid who was genuinely reluctant to go into the woods. It's so foreign to me to think of that situation as frightening or unusual, but if it's not what you're used to, then it makes sense. One day I was by myself just poking around in the river fossil hunting. When I was done I came up to the main trail through some thick bushes right into the middle of a class of clearly spooked high school kids who must have thought a bear was coming or something. Instead they got a big hairy guy coming out of nowhere for no apparent reason. No idea what made me say it, but I smiled and said, "Hi, I'm Bigfoot. Nice to meet you!" Kids started laughing and we had an impromptu class picture with Bigfoot. It was a good day.

First of all: the Earth is _not_ dying, it's doing well, thank you very much. Stop peddling this idiotic Greta Thunberg nonsense. Second of all: there is no "nature depravation" going on. Nature is all around us, including most cities. And believe it or not, some people can't stand the countryside and are happy in cities and good for them. "To each their own" is a maxim you could try and make yours too.
