I remember a girl in high school who told everyone she was preggers with my baby (we never slept together) then a few years later she told everyone I killed my self….then a bit later that I had a heroin addiction. I will never understand people who lie like this…I am just glad I am ok after killing my self. Like….did she not think people would figure out I am not dead? Dah phuck.

I was married for nearly 3 years when I found out my mother in law wasn't dead. My husband told me she had died a couple years before I met him. Then one day me, him, his bro and bro's wife we're visiting and talking. The dead MIL came up and bro's wife says "Yeah well I wouldn't take a check from her!" And I went do what?? They all looked at each other with a "Woops" expression. It was one of many lies that came out but I felt this bizarre feeling at the time... it was crazy. I've met the MIL since we've been divorced. lol Come to find out he'd taken our twins as babies to see her and I never knew.

Wow, narcissists sure are dangerous. I just left my ex of 16 years (who has NPD), with a buttload of CPTSD, night terrors, 2 major suicide attempts, and lost 2 babies to. Aiden wld be 15 yrs old, & Samantha would be 3 yrs old now, if they had survived. I have a 17 yr old son to him, and sadly, he's turning into his dad, he's seen too much , especially in the last 3 years, after our split. But, he's seen what his dad truely is, and he's seen me grow, get clean and flourish without the dead weight. I know he won't be a kid forever, but that feels like cold comfort atm. I miss him, I miss the gd times we spent together. Narcissism, psychopathy & Machiavellianism are the usual suspects in so many of these monsters crimes. I pray that my ex will stay the heck away from me forever. He doesn't know where I live, I'm about 99% sure, & I honestly don't think he's brave enough to come looking for me, as sadly, I've changed too, I now stand up for myself, but have developed a mean streak that is hard to control, as well as having DID from my traumatic childhood, it's all very frightening, I'm finding. But I'm alive, and I've learnt alot from it all. I'm now sober, coherent and have real purpose in my life. I'm going back to school, at age 46, so that I can be a psychologist. I've also just started studying criminology aswell, I'm dedicated to turning my trauma into treasure 😊😊😊

No one will read this but sometimes when I eat M&M's, I like to hold two M&M's between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one of the M&M's cracks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the winner. Then I grab the winning M&M and force it to compete with the reigning M&M champion in this deadly game of M&M gladiators. I do this until I run out of M&M's, and when there is only one M&M left standing, I then send a letter with the champion M&M inside of it to the company that manufactures them with an attached note that reads "please use this M&M for breeding purposes"

I was in residential construction for more than 20 years. I'm one of the lucky few who kinda benefited from the pandemic. I was a project manager for a remodeling company and I was on salary, so when we had to initially shut down jobs, I was able to spend more time on my podcast (which I was already doing on the side) and it gave me the time to make the podcast into a KZread show. I was off completely for 2 weeks with pay, then I spent the next few months working 20-25 hours a week. I had started the podcast for me. I'm an introvert and my daily life was dealing with other people who were often unhappy and usually being fairly unreasonable. I just wanted something to do on my own. I would read and research and then tell a story and it was a nice way to calm myself from the anxiety that the daily interactions I had caused. At some point one of my videos got a bunch of views and it kinda made the channel snowball and once I was making enough money from it I did not hesitate to quit my job. I love building. I owned my own business for a while where I focused on finish work and would install all the trim and make custom pieces like built-in bookshelves or fireplace mantels. I can build a house from scratch. I just don't like dealing with other people. If I ever find the right house that would be a good property to flip, I totally would. I could remodel it without having a customer and that would be perfect. Otherwise, I get to tell stories and research people who I find fascinating. It's a dream job. Thanks so much for watching!

@kirstinspence881 Their mom was able to brainwash people into allowing themselves to be tortured to death. They had been under her influence so long and were so damaged by it I don't think they saw things clearly. They also feared not being believed. Nikki went to the police by herself shortly after moving out and was not taken seriously at all. They thought the same thing might happen, and they would bring on Shelly's wrath for nothing.
David doesn’t get any of my sympathy at all. He betrayed a boy that thought the world of him and all the crying in the world after he got caught won’t change that. The US justice system gives sentences based on race and not actually based on the crime. It is very well documented that violent white repeat offenders get way less time and are way more likely to get parole than nonviolent Black first time offenders. Thanks so much for watching!
this case is absolutely insane. I have watched lengthy accounts of this one and read her daughters book. Shelly is definitely a serial killer, whether she’s been charged for it all or not. I believe she murdered the elderly man in her care, too, and the boy who stayed with them, and the 2 people they know she killed.
i can't even get my room mate to wash dishes and she convinced a grown man to repeatedly jump off the roof to punish himself.

I generally have no problem reading true crime books but I read “if You Tell” by Gregg Olsen last year and it was one of the most difficult books I’ve ever read because of the subject matter- it took me a while to finish; I kept having to put it down because it was so tragic. Tysm for covering this case and helping give voice to the victims!

Always love your content, Giles! Thanks for such consistent and informative videos.
This is one of the few sources I see that is so respectful of these cases and situations. Thank you for your work.
The ESC key function on the website is so great! Wow!!! I went there just to test it out. They even have a warning on the page saying that internet search history is basically impossible to erase completely so call if you’re fearful of that & it tells you about the X or ESC trick. It goes immediately to Google & the back button doesn’t show up so it looks like Google was the first page you visited. Love that so much & I love the you included that in your video.
I first heard about this story not even a week ago, & thought this can't be real. You're the third channel I've watched that's covered this case. Unfortunately, it's real. I mean, my mom is a textbook mean & heartless narcissist. But Shelley makes me want to get my mom a mother of the year plaque!

It's real I know her I live there in Raymond Washington Shane was in my class when he disappeared she was evil the look she gave you when you saw her at the store was enough to kill you but I believe there was lots more and for her to be out now is wrong
Great show yet again 👏 THIS IS MONSTER'S
I keep thinking about how much she must have been freaking out when her husband didn't come home lol
michelle has the exact same hair piper laurie had as the crazy mother in 1976 CARRIE
So tired of psychopaths using the emotional excuse of why they had to burn , mutilate or dissect a body by always exclaiming “I didn’t know what to do!!” This after they said the victim died naturally or accidentally.
Thank you for making a video on this. “If You Tell” by Gregg Olsen is an amazing detailed book about Shelly and her sadism, Dave, and their crimes. Definitely recommend.
Really nice that you're including now more of the live interrogations footage. I'm following the channel for a longer while and definitely see it's development. Keep up the great work, big kudos for the content!
How devastating. This is so awful. Those poor people and the children who survived it💔It makes me think of this book I read and all the books following... Have you covered the story told by the man who survives in the book A Child Called IT?
Her husband is a shell of a human during the interrogation. He seemed more like a doll

Dear Daughters, I hope your journey to healing this trauma finds you awash in love and joy that you never let go of. Only those who have seen the depths of evil can experience the height of true love as you break away from the generational bounds. Your courage and strength will carry you far far away. Rest in peace to poor souls of Raymond, esp your beloved Shane who loved you.
That is what every person who interacts with a narcissist will eventually look like if they don't make a break. SHE DESTROYED THIS MAN AND EVERYONE WITH WHOM SHE HAS HAD CONTACT.
It's crazy the hold a mother has on her kids, some kids have a perfectly normal loving mom and barely speak to her later in life and others I know had hideous monsters at moms and they're so protective of them.

@@Mataylor17 err no. Not sure what kind of people youre talking about but the love of a child to their parents is so strong that it takes a LOT for an adult child to decide to cut a parent off and it is always after forgiving them over and over. When it comes to a point where the adult child realizes their parent will not rest until they've driven a truck through their every small achievement, be that relationship, parenting or work, they accept they have no choice but to limit or cease contact. Are you a masochist? Only a masochist would maintain a relationship with someone hell bent on trying to destroy them

The subtitles unfortunately don't pick up a lot of what is said during interviews by defendants who are emotional. Though some is usually unintelligible. Often the same during arrests.
Proud of you for over coming abuse. It made me mostly a very kind person with a deep anger. I never act on.
First time I have seen any interrogation of Dave anywhere. I read If You Tell and I thought you might do this story under your Torture season. I'm glad you finally did it.
I've heard this one elsewhere, but it still sickens me to know this woman was able to get away with all of this for so long!!
You guys never have a boring case. Great channel all around.
I took a break from the _psychopaths_ in these stories for a few months. I have been here with Monsters from the very beginning. I'm so happy that he's come so far ! I'll always be a fan of this channel!
David come across as psychopathic as Shelley, but apathetic. I wish all the best to their daughters 💖

Hi all. Such a horrendous, senseless loss.😢💔
This monster was released from prison in 2022. Just for the record. Her grandmother was a psycho as well.... apparently this condition was some kind of family tradition. Thankfully the daughters got away. Hopefully they will recover to be healthy members of society. This is a very real monster in disguise of a woman is walking free since 2022.
Hi there! I just wanted to say thank you for your videos and podcast, I’m addicted haha! I love your narration and I especially love the helpful links/phone numbers you present at the end of the videos. It shows you really care. Thank you so much for the hard work!
You tell horrific stories very well. You are highly appreciated. My husband was murdered I truly appreciate you taking the time to tell us about the victim.
Shelly’s eyes have no light in them… That’s all I needed to see 😢
Great video. I guess Shelley sought out a pushover like David purposefully. He probably felt such a relief after confessing. The prison he’ll go to will be far better than the prison of his mind pre-confession.
