David Lee Roth - Ladies' Nite in Buffalo (Cover)

This awesome and super fabulous David Lee Roth tune got stuck in my head real bad a couple of days ago so I had to learn and cover it. That Steve Vai solo alone was so cool I knew I had to learn it eventually. I found a pretty good backing track online, plugged into my Line6 Pod HD500 and so, here’s my cover of Ladies’ Nite in Buffalo, enjoy!
I’m looking for a singer who wants to record vocals for this so hit me up if you wanna give it a shot!
Gear used:
Ibanez RG350M w/ Dimarzio Paf Pro pickups
Line6 Pod HD500, cab disabled
Catharsis impulses
Logic Pro X
Here’s a link to the Pod patches I used to record this cover, I included the impulses as well as versions with the Pod cabs. These tones are meant to run in stereo as they are but you can disable the stereo effect by removing the delay in the signal chain. When I recorded the guitar I added EQ in Logic, nothing fancy, just a hipass and lopass. Hope you enjoy the tones, tweak them to your liking and rock out!

Vai alone is like an actual music school. What a character man... I know it's not healthy nor mature to be a fan boy, but when it comes to Steve Vai, I just can't help it. I love this guy. You sir, are a great guitarrist. Thanks for the cover.

If that solo was by DLR’s… previous… guitarist, you’d never hear the end of it. It’s one of the greatest solos of all time, the whole song is a mastery of the guitar and it’s such a groover, love it when rock bands add a bit of disco. Tinges of it give me Miss You vibes by The Rolling Stones. Cracking tune

I can't remember where I found the tab but it was like 95% accurate. Pretty sure it was on Ultimate Guitar.

I gotta say you covers are very impressive! I was never any good at mimicking others on guitar so i was stuck to playing all originals. Always wanted to note for note guys like EVH and Vai,etc
