Such a beautiful song. When i learned to play it on piano, i could not keep from crying multiple times. Music has such an unspoken language that touches the soul - you don't have to understand anything to feel it. It just happens to everyone. You version is no exception. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us.

I saw David Lanz in concert many years ago at the Seattle Paramount, and he told the story of writing this pieice inspired by his wife's unexpected reuniting with the daughter she had relinquished for adoption 21 years prior to that.....a beautiful song that captures the heart of that reunion I am sure.

The beginning melody is one of the most intimate, yet simplistically beautiful parts of the song.
