I don't know how to describe it, but this song feels like what you sing when you've gone through some tough shit--depression, loss, shitty relationship, etc.--and you've recovered enough that you're able to start living freely again. Like a more sombre version of saying "you can't keep me down".

This was me and my bosses fav song we blasted it everyday otw to work and home and she passed away unexpectedly from a blood clot at age 34 and left a 7 year old son behind 😔😪 work and life will never be the same without her. This song just reminds me. How happy we were and how much fun we had together. RIP Brooke Gordon.

I rocked out to Eiffel 65 as a kid, especially I'm Blue. I loved their whole admittedly slightly weird album. It was new for me, my first album in a new era of EDM at the start of the 2000s. I was like 11 or so and going through the start of a depression that would last into my 20s. I'm Blue was just so cool but I also identified with the lyrics before I even fully grasped their meaning. This I'm Good song is... It kind of feels like checking up on an old friend and finding out they're in a better place in life than they were when I knew them. It feels good because I guess I am that friend and I'm in my 30s now and I AM doing alright. 🥲 😊

@@beetlezful My theory is that since the lyrics for I'm Blue was created just as a filler to the melody, the melody itself goes with everything, so why not say what you want with it? Nia's Some Say, David Guetta's I'm Good, and someone's (I don't remember the name) Ne Rievens Pas, all are official and professional musics that rip the melody to sing something other than I'm Blue da ba dee. I personally enjoy the flow of Ne Rievens Pas the most out of those three.
