This is a scene in a book I'm writing and I think this song is 100% fitting. Bit of backstory: Neblina (main character aka the person who's telling the story) is a darkbender and Evelyn (her best friend/master) is a lightbender. They were up high in the sky because that's where they happened to spawn in to a new dimension that they'd entered. They were both being carried by animals of their bendable elements, Neblina by a horse made of darkness (Nightfall), and Evelyn by a horse made of light (Solaria) and this happened. We'd made it into another dimension, there was one problem however. We were approximately 5000 metres away from the ground. I looked over at Evelyn and asked: "So, what now?" To respond to this, she gave me a smirk, and said: "We could jump?" I wasn't very fond of that idea, so I rolled my eyes in the direction away from her to make it clear. In the split second that I'd turned away, I heard a slight _whoosh_ sound beside me. I looked down at Nightfall and sighed. "She jumped, didn't she?" Nightfall neighed as if to confirm that she, did indeed, jump. No second thoughts, I morphed Nightfall into a pair of wings made of darkness and jumped after Evelyn. I'd thought it was a dumb idea, but that moment made me second guess myself. I didn't exactly enjoy being upside down going hundreds of miles an hour straight towards solid earth, but the wind whistling in my ears gave me reassurance that I was exactly where I needed to be. I flapped with the wings of darkness and it helped me catch up to Evelyn. I smiled at her and she smiled back, even though it was hard to tell with all her hair in her face. Now I wonder how the air pressure didn't kill us both, but back in that moment, the only thing I was thinking about was freedom. Being a 16 year old girl who had just had the weight of the world dropped onto her shoulders, it was the exact refresher I needed.

@@yourface3154 I can understand the last part bc I'm not that good at, well, measuring, but it's a book where people can dimension hop and at one point they even manage to travel faster than the speed of light so I think them falling a bit faster than average is not that big of a deal. Plus, people overexaggerate, like when someone thinks something is boring they'd describe it as "omgs it took forever" even though it was really only like ten minutes
