Of _course _they should try to better it. What a strange thing to say. 🤔 Before he played this, nobody had done a performance this good (according to you). So Gilmore shouldn't have bothered to try either, by your 'logic.' Give up at Hendrix; music is 'done'. Or at Mozart. Or sticks on logs. Nobody gets anywhere thinking like this. No creativity, no innovation, no discovery, no variation. The best possible _anything_ has already been done better than anyone who went before the people who did best previously. By definition. Of course Gilmore is exceptionally good, and for the vast majority of people it's going to be an impossible goal to aim for. Shall we all just give up and go home, then? I'm going to just build a wall, then. Probably not a very good one either; walls have also 'been done.'

@@Varksterable What I was trying to say and I think you misunderstood is that David Gilmour is an exceptional guitarist and his guitar solos are wonderful. Of course there are other fantastic musicians and they are amazing but Gilmour's solos are, in my opinion, unique to him. Other guitarists can play them, of course they can, but can they do better? I don't know. That's all I meant and I'm really sorry if I've upset you.

Great reaction boys. It is the best ever...never to be outdone. I wrote a comment a couple of years ago that is there ever was an orgasmic song showing the build up and the climax at the end...this is it... and you played the part perfect....and then the comment "I have to go to the bathroom" nailed it......wicked!!!

This performance proves I think That David Gilmour is arguably the most humble, versatile, and consumate musician of our time and at 70 and at the end of that show his voice is still there. Amazing reaction from you both. After this that black Strat and most of his other guitars were auctioned off for charity!! What a god!

It's the solo we don't want to end. And David Gilmour is like the iceman as he plays it. It's heavenly music. I expect Jesus Christ to show up as this music plays.

More than the Pulse performance, I like this performance of Comfortably Numb. Just beautiful, and thank you for the reaction.

I had a big smile watching you both open the beautiful gifts. I’m so glad you decided to react to Gilmour’s Pompaii concert, he really is an icon. Hopefully you’ll continue to react to a few more songs from Pompaii

I hope in 300 years this performance is revered as much as Bethoven and Mozart are today. This is truly music history in the making in front of our eyes.

David Gilmour was the first live act in that amphitheater since 79AD and that is what he brought for everyone to enjoy. You guys need to react to Sorrow from the same concert

Chuck Leavell on the Organ doing the intro vocals, and the other pianist is/was Michael Jackson's Concert Director. The Drummer, Steve Destanaslao (spelt wrong I'm sure) has played in Gilmour's 2 solo concerts, in this one and the one in 2006. Guy Pratt obviously on Bass, and in the band since the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour in '89. Gilmour is the GOAT as far as I'm concerned. I add my vote for the Gdansk version of Echoes, but there are a lot of songs that haven't been reacted to yet.
