I sense Bukowskian elements. I think he venerated the spirit grandly. I do not know if he knew when he impressed readers. I could sit listening to this for 30 minutes and the first minute explained everything I needed to know. In fact his attempt to move into "normal" or off meds while donning a wife who I believe became his source was brave. Where does the virtue hide? He took a risk but if you really think about it -- he used people of a class who are throwing daggers when they should be sweeter, softer, and more inclined to help rather than attack sideways without a clue? Maybe that is what happened to him but when did his knowledge of the dark side of man not be, well, dark?

you ever feel angry that he committed suicide? Like kind of pissed at him for depriving us readers of so much? The fact that someone so aware and sensitive of life's sheer immediacy and granduer would just off himself like he did will never, ever sit right with me.

@@evanboyer5928 in certain manic states it does seem like the only way for the pain to end. I blame toxicity. He had a dream to be a great athlete and that became something different. When you invest that much energy in something it will affect you. Call it muscle memory, competative edge, or just a spoiled disposition? Suicide is a choice we make in states where we feel weak or else targeted. He had access. I think his transition was way too difficult.
