@@kevinconnolly8784 Feherty's real life arrogance rivals that of Curtis Strange. Plus, David Feherty is more of a boorish bell-end than he is funny. McCord is chillAF 24/7. I have been around them both in a working environment, and after hours.

Sadly either Dave is holding back to keep fuel from the fire or has gone stupid! Normans goal is not to merge with the PGA... it’s to take it down and the only real defense is to not give them world rank point and the majors do what ‘THE OPEN’ will do and not allow LIV golfers to participate......

If the guys want to play LIV, fine take your $ and go away. Why do they want to play on the PGA Tour anyways? They have all said that this allows them to play less golf and spend more time with their family. Well, they have to play a minimum of 13 events to keep their PGA card add that to what I am sure that LIV makes them play a minimum amount of events [ 14 total next year ]. Well, that would be more events then they play now. As for the PGA tour side, why let these guys play both? All that means is they would only play the bigger events [ which most do anyways but they still play some of the smaller events ], so the middle to lower events will get hurt with fewer fans and sponsors won't want to put out the amount of money without there being any big names. As far as world ranking points, the LIV isn't a sanctioned tour so there can't be world ranking points to be had. Why does anyone want to watch anyways? It's exhibition golf at best, most guys are getting paid more for showing up than the prize money earned for playing [ as a side note I don't think anyone should get an appearance fee on any tour for showing up, that's not a level playing field]. all of the events are the same, so nothing prestigious about any of them. Just a bunch of multimillion dollar glamour boy prima donnas out for a casual round of golf.

I live in Orlando, FL, and it was about 15 years ago I was out at a public course as a single and got put in a 3 some with 2 gents, one of whom had clothing and equipment that screamed country club, not muni. 2nd tee, we get talking and he says he's a producer for the Golf Channel! The other gent and I asked a few questions and I asked, "Is David Feherty really as weird as he seems on TV?" he smiled, nodded in the affirmative and said a resounding, "Yeah." Weird, hysterically funny, and enjoyable, an original.

Let’s face it. You bring in enough money and people will do pretty much do anything including no longer tell the truth or avoid it. LIV tour money is based on a country that repressed women in some cases brutally and murders journalists among many others. No players shouldn’t go to their tour. But it’s crazy money so they will. It’s that simple. It’s basically what Charles has said also.

So sad - will no longer be a Feherty fan - I guess the money was too good to turn down!!

Dan I been a huge fan since your early days at ESPN & beginning of The Dan Patrick Show. But today I have to disagree with your view of LIV tour. Let me ask you this question: How can other soccer leagues around the world compete with the Premier league? Correct they can not. Therefore you have other soccer leagues like the Mexican league that pays their players well and other soccer players could play in any league of their choice. Why is the PGA now making a big deal & suspending players who participate.

David get back on tour. Mark O’Meara is playing in the Open and David Duval. You as good as them. Come on man, stop being a comedian, start being a golfer again.

@@bennyb44875 David Duval was a retired Golfer, he worked for the Golf Channel as a reporter or analyst for years. He only now started to get back out in the course. The same is true for Trevor Immelmann, he was retired also. Now he is playing again. Mark O’Meara has been on the Champions tour for along time.

@@kowanmcgarry that has nothing to do with WHY they are playing in this event. David Duvall has not played in a 1 pga tour event in the past 2 years. and has played 8 events on the sr tour. Because he and O'Meara won a Open Championship the can play until they reach 60. And Mark Omeara isn't even playing.

If Feherty had any REAL stones he would have admitted on this interview that he was about to sign with LIV.

Dont tell me the Saudis haven’t thought about this: following the end of the season to stage a Ryder cup type match between the two tours. Two 4 man teams: for the Saudis its Mickleson, Johnson, Koepka and DeChambeau facing off against Mclroy, Thomas, Schefler and Spieth. The pot is 50 mil and-get this-its winner takes all! The PGA will do nothing because they would look even more small time than they do now. Did I mention the ratings? They will be through the roof!

This has legs, not sure on the guys actually swing at balls. But could see 4 from each tour playing. I would hope that the pga would pick guys that actually would be fun to watch. Rory, JT have as much personality as a rock sitting in a stream. Spief would be good, Ricky F if he hasn't gone to LIV by then.

Seems to me that all that joined the LIV know what they are doing and they want us to look through our fingers with a thumbs up. Can't do it. Gotta draw a line somewhere. I'm trying to understand it. I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination. But I just can't do it. Golf is the last bastion of sportsmanship. The last gentleman's game. And they throw it all over for some extra coin? I just don't get it.

I love all golf but the PGA is looking like a bunch of clowns 🤡, the LIV tour isn’t stealing players, the PGA isn’t letting them play. Let the players play where ever they want.

LIV golf is meaningless. The PGA tour and the DP World tour is important.

All I know is LIV golf is being sponsored by the Saudi's, and part of the deal is to have some of the tournaments at Fat Donnie's golf courses (probably as yet another quid pro quo for selling them billions in weapons and for not sactioning them for murdering Jamaal Koshogi). But Trumps involvement means this will implode in a few years. This will be the USFL of professional golf. "Everything Trump Touches Dies" (book by Rick Wilson) and this is no exception. And I hope to hell that the Scots treat all the LIV players this week at St Andrews like the Americans treated Colin "Ms Doubtfire" Montgomery at tournaments in America back in the 90's!

Not sanctioning ? BS - they helped give info for targeting . It won't need Trump to blow apart - you have to recognize the only reason this is happening is to buy MBS some respectability in the civilized world . That is the only reason this is happening - when it either a) doesn't or b) works there will be no need - it is very much a short term proposition . I was initially stunned at how people have received this league - but i recognized recently These players like Mickelson have said - poor me - I should get more money - and the grievance culture has bought into that and how much they hate their employers so somehow in that twisted logic - a ruthless dictator paying multi millionaires obscene amounts of money to basically play exhibitions is empowering . I do not blame players if they wanted these huge checks - that is their choice - but criticizing the tour , where they owe all their success to and has made them wealthy and famous is so disgusting - I would never have any interest in any one of them again . Just not the type of thing I cheer for
