That background music is so distracting. I can barely hear what he's saying. Could have at least lowered the volume on it.
Yeah I agree - no need for a loud music soundtrack behind him. I wanted to hear HIM! Thrilled he's finally written a novel for the general public. I've read other works of his he never published, and I know what a writer...and philosopher this guy is! Looking forward to getting the audiobook as well.

I just finished the book today. So funny and entertaining. It's been a while since I enjoyed a book this much. I think last time was when I read Harry Potter.
Is the 2015 debut novel by actor and author David Duchovny.In this novel , a cow, a pig , and a Turkey escape from American farm to seek a better life in India, Israel, and Turkey, respectively....I read and liked this book very much....from Fort Worth, Texas
Can't wait for this, I have also ordered the audiobook so I can enjoy David reading the whole thing

I wanted to hear David read.... not that bloody awful sound track in the background. It took over and ruined it!
If i get the audiobook will David read the whole book to me? One thing you cant get from a book is intonation. I love this!
despite everyone's hate for the background music, i actually quite enjoy it anyone know the name of the tune?
I just made the best reuben sandwich I have ever made in my life. I quickly sear the corned beef in a skillet with just a touch of olive oil and butter. As quickly as I remove it I use the sauerkraut to deglaze the pan. Toss them on a bun already bedded with the most beautiful Swiss cheese, then smear the top bun with spicy mustard (I know it was traditionally made with Russian dressing, but spicy mustard has a really great second place, pairing with the kraut). I ate this as I read every single vegan comment below...

I am quite disappointed. To go from vegetarian to pescetarian is a large step in the wrong direction, which belies a lack of understanding of the scope of the plight of innocent animals on this planet and how they suffer in so many ways at our hands. All sentient beings feel pain. All lives matter. And Mr. Duchovny, cows are not safe in India. They lead the world in torturing and killing cows for their leather. (I might as well also point out for information's sake that those "vegetarians" who consume dairy and eggs cause newly-born calves to be slaughtered so we can have their milk, and cause male baby chicks to be ground up alive by the millions as they are an industry "byproduct" of no commercial value). Mr. Duchovny cannot possibly purport to speak for veganism. He needs to align his actions with a true understanding and compassion. (Maybe watching Earthlings here on KZread would be a good start, and Gary Yourofsky's Best Speech You Will Ever Hear!)
