When he was younger there was a young girl who died during one of his concerts, and the anguish of the loss stopped him from touring. I can't help but respect how he stops singing in mid-sentence to tell the crown to "Step back - there's a young girl here"; then reaches over to lift her up to the stage. Absolutely professional, confident and courageous act of selflessness! How many of the "BIG" names in Music would even see the little girl; let alone stop the show to ensure her safety? Thanks for everything, David. RIP

@@tinascorizzi6188 ......His main problem was never having acceptance from his Dad (actor Jack Cassidy) . Jack was jealous of David's fame. It's what Jack wanted for himself. David always wanted to have a relationship with his Dad and his approval , but never got it. His Dad became an alcoholic and burned up in his home when he fell asleep with a lit cigarette. David would never again have the chance to get close with his Dad. So sad. By the way , he looked just like his Father. 😞

When he said that it had upset / scared the little girl who was so shy by picking her up onto the stage ... a couple of women called out "scare me" = pick me up on stage and cuddle me ... that is why there was laughter.

This was the best quality of David as a person... his warmth towards his fans. He was never rute or bigheaded like other stars but always friendly and amiable. No wonder that people remember him with love and admiration.

He was such a genuinely nice guy. I loved his sense of humor. You can tell that he loved doing what he did. He was good at intersecting with his audience. He loved them and they loved him! We'll miss you! David. 💔

I know I am going to get a few comments about sucking up my sadness. But here goes anyway. This video to me showed how much of a caring man he was. I have tears in my eyes while watching this. He was just so beautiful inside and out. My brother tells me " he was a celebrity, you're crying for someone who wouldn't cry for you'. Not one person I know, even said to me 'I am sorry for you losing such a person that meant alot to you'. Even throughout my years, I watched him. We lost such a true talent. I miss him being on this earth, today, still, I cry for someone I never met or had the privilege to see in concert. My heart is broken. To David "I hope your kind soul is finally happy, safe and loved, be at peace, and maybe when I die, I can finally meet you and have just one dance with you" Thank you for posting this video, I enjoyed it so much.

I have been a fan of so many celebrities over the years, but he's the only celebrity I ever cried over dying. Now, he was not my crush, but he was the one that introduced me to pop music. He sang to me as a child (not in person of course, but he sang to me). He may not care about me or know me, but it doesn't matter. I just know I care about him because he gave me so much joy.

Yes 1974 l was 10, l could see how shocked he was in the interview.....he disappeared after that....l read his book....he hated the teenybop title. R.I.P David!

I agree with you. Just watched a clip of him a few years ago where he had to make some disparaging remarks about the President. It really disappointed me, and I am a die hard David Cassidy fan.

I love this guy. Great song.

There is pain and heartache in life, but he is at peace with the One who will embrace him with love.

Note: Sue Schfrinn was nothing more than a golddigger and after his money. No wonder he let the Devil in. But as I said, he is at peace and she will get instant Karma.
