For anyone wondering, Yellowman had a stroke a few years ago and had to work very hard to regain his strength. He is truly remarkable, most people would've given up but not King Yellow!

Seeing Yellowman is so inspiring and has lived a hard life but still wears a beautiful smile and never gives up. What a collab and jam!! Thank you for sharing your craft. Music is medicine for the soul.

Maximum blessing for you David and for my King Yellowman. I started in music after listening to Yellowman, years later I was able to play live on the same stage in Peru. For me it was one of the most important moments of my life.

I saw Yellowman in a small club on a Tuesday night the day I found out about the show the oldest surviving Club in my town there was barely anybody there it was a truly legendary experience and made me remember to never ever ever ever ever give up no matter what anyone tells you the doctors told this man he would die in the 80s

Sometime in the 1980s when I was still a teenager in Atlanta, I got to see Yellowman perform as part of an extensive lineup of artists at the Reggae Sunsplash concert event, held outdoors beside the Metroplex music venue. What a great experience! If anyone reading this was there or has any information pertaining to the actual date or the list of artists who performed there that day (I wish my memory was better), I would love to be reminded. 🙏🏼✌️ One love.

​@@kontainerbrain Hello. He had skin cancer and then the cancer spread to his jaw. He had invasive jaw surgery to remove a malignant tumor, which involved removing most of the left side of his lower jaw, which is why his face now looks like this.
