I was walking home from work when I passed by the corner of Music Plus, I looked up and there just three feet away separated by the glass was David bowie getting interviewed. I stopped and stood there with my mouth open, I couldn't believe one of my all time hero's was just feet away... it was surreal. I went home and had a normal night but it was one of the best moments every!

I got to kiss her on her head! True story I was embarrassed because everyone in the room wanted to kiss her head after I did. She even remembered it & posted it on FB which was embarrassing again lol. She is bad ass cool, humble & down to earth. She came into the bar with no shoes on & she had her hands folded in front of her like she was charging the room with energy lol.

Bowie took the best musicians and made them better. He made them play out the their comfort zones, made them surprise themselves and that is what he used. He was the master of getting the most out his musicians and the ideas that they brought and the ideas that were grass roots. That is a true artist.

This is a more natural Bowie, closer to his true nature, than some of the other personae. Note he is singing in his natural baritone. As for new wave, he was right there, but this is later. He's about to embark on some really unpopular journeys--but that's OK.

About Bowie changing lyrics or missing them... he missed a line in there ... you could see the hesitation and the missed opportunity to get it back. But that’s also a way for him to make a song better than the original because he re-writes lyrics. Like “New York’s a no-go” or “New York’s a go-go” which will we have with each performance? Jean Genie. And everything “tastes right” or “ tastes nice?” He changed it. The biggest lyric they get wrong now is “you want to be dead when they count up the dues”- that’s how they read on the liner of the record. Everyone now says it’s “you want to be there when they count up the dudes” which one makes more sense? It follows the line about him or her, with the messed up face and dress, “you got your” handful of Ludes which is off the market now and short for Qualudes, a VERY strong tranquilizer people took in tablet form and drank alcohol with when going out to party. So which line makes sense? Talking about Rebel Rebel. Heroes is THE song that improved the most with lyric changes. I love how it morphed with him and got better with the new, added lines.

Yeah, nallly, from 2017. Here in 2019, and I’d like to know who’s the 1st coolest man to ever walk the planet? Ya never answered that first response. If you’re still around, maybe you could respond to me. In my 💜, Freddie Mercury is tied for 1st place with David Bowie!

Always loved that song, this is a really good version too. Not quite a young Earl Slick on lead, but still great!
