Bowie was not of this world. But how fortunate we were that the universe shared him with us for a short time before it took him back. There will never be another with his superb genius. Every time I see him it still makes me want to cry the second I hear that stunning voice.

Bowie’s music is timeless. These 2 epic songs from Ziggy era are performed to perfection on his 50th bday concert. Remembering he wrote this song and gave it to Mott the Hoople for their first album.

I think it was Motts 4th or 5th album and Bowie initially offered Moonage Daydream which Mott turned down, Bowie was insistent on giving Mott a song for their first hit and offered All the Young Dudes which Mott took up and the rest is history. Mott where on the brink of splitting and it was at a gig in Croydon where this happened. Hence the line 'And then we went to Croydon' in Satirday Gigs.

When I was 16, I was at a Mott The Hoople concert with my girlfriends and we walked past David Bowie, in his full Wild red haired Ziggy outfit, with ex Angela on one arm and a beautiful Asian woman on the other arm, we of course knew that Bowie wrote All The Young Dudes & was managing or producing MTH, but we sure didn’t expect him to be in the crowd walking around!! We were so excited, we knew exactly what Angie looked like, she was the only person we had seen with a purple and white shag, but of course it was David we loved 🥰

at 3:30 "In out", David is referring to "A Clockwork Orange". He loved that movie very much, as many of us did back in the day. It was iconic! I have the book, the script and the extended DVD of that movie. If you don't know it, it is a must see before you die type of movie. You will not be disappointed, unless you are weak of heart. You will see the humor in it (esp. if you are young) My fav all time movie of many. I love that Bowie & I have that in common.

Gahndi + Lightning struck when he found Ronno, that stratospheric solo for this song will forever be epic. Mick helped launch David's career and though more recognition has opened over the years, it's never enough. I love and admire David, but Mick stands in the light of that era.

She knows how much I love that movie and she also knows Bowie loves that movie and that I love Bowie as well, just so cool. She is a great girl to remember all of that when she has so much going on in her own life. Moonage @ 3:31 Bowie: "In Out"! Just love it. Alex (star of the movie, By Stanley Kubrick) is the shit! He said it alot in the movie. "The old in out", But Bowie, me and many of you know that is what Alex says in the movie, a movie that one needs to see before they die. Trust me guys.

omg.... Why massacre a Ronno solo like that!? Mick Ronson, I will always remember for making simple riffs, licks and solos sound amazing and perfectly in place. The Man who sold the world riff ( perfect simple riff but fits the song perfectly); The width of a circle ( the riff Jimmy Page described as the best riff) and that liberating riff nearing the end of the song, when Bowie is doing the opening a gap between closing walls thing. Jean Genie riff brilliant riff, just two chords. Moonage Daydream imo one of Mick's finest solos. Absolutely hair-raising, spine-tingling solo. The energy the feel, the warmth of his sound. Truly incredible. Mick didn't see the point of fast playing. What's the point if you're not saying anything. The tone is in the fingers, not that particular guitar or that particular amp. It's within your own personality within your fingers.

Spot on DMG. You need to hear the original to feel the simplicity of the notes in the solo but its depth of emotion was just incredible . So other worldly it blew our brains out with its emotional intensity. Mick was so under rated as a guitarist. He was sensational and unforgettable and a massive part of Bowie's fame and musical legacy.

I love it. It's a sexy ass song, and as some dude said on here the entire crowd looks like they all just got slapped in the face! I laughed my ass off! So true. They pick it up for young dudes, but ya gotta check out Moonage Daydream and the crowd. So funny. LMAO!

At 8:17 when he sings, "All the Young Dudes, Carry the news, Boogaloo dudes" he changes his inflection on "Boog A loo Dudes" it is different and so Bowie! I play it over and over sometimes, check it if you want to hear the diff. Or not. Reply to me if you hear the diff. K? Love all you Bowie lovers.

Was watching a special on Bowie on Roku and they said Bowie was a huge fan of the movie "A Clockwork Orange"! I just knew it from a few of his lyrics i.e.in Moonage Daydream, "In Out". I love that movie as well. Anyone out there know what I am talking about? Anyone out there know A Clockwork Orange? "The old in out"?

At 6:33 when he sings, "Brother you guessed, I'm a dude", his facial expression looks like he is really trying to look like a dude. Seen him do this song (Young Dudes) before and he did the same thing, however not as pronounced. God I love Bowie. This version really blows my face off. I come to these songs and version each time I log onto my computer 1st thing I listen to.
