Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

SO glad you went with the BBC version. This is actually my favorite live Bowie concert on video. Great choice! Watch the whole show someday and do yourself a treat.

Bowie was brilliant composer and fearless songwriter and always ahead of his time. He was one of one.! Bowie quote "I’m just an individual who doesn’t feel that I need to have somebody qualify my work in any particular way. I’m working for me.”

This one and "Young Americans" were big hits for Bowie in the mid seventies. "Ashes to Ashes" would be the next song after "Space Oddesey".

"Fame. What you get is no tomorrow." Bowie and especially Lennon knew this...with his life. Same Electric Ladyland.

This live performance was new to me and it was fantastic! There’s only one Bowie and everything he does is original. The list is long my friend, Heroes, Changes, Suffragette City, Rebel Rebel, Is There Life On Mars… that’s a start 😁

LOL!!! Don't worry Shawn, Bowie changed his persona 5 times - Ziggy Stardust (first appeared in the song "Space Oddity"), Aladdin Sane, Halloween Jack, The Thin White Duke (the persona in this song), and his last, the Blind Prophet. Fasten your seatbelt and place your tray table in an upright position, you're in for an amazing ride with Bowie...a truly prodigious talent

This performance came from a special called "Live at the Beeb" (BBC). I have watched it several times. It can probably be Googled and pop up. It was an amazing show. Bowie's presence was quirky, humorous, and warm.

Late period live Bowie, particularly with Gail Dorsey and the rest of this band, is seriously good. You could pick almost anything from these tours and not be disappointed.

Many people don't realize how good an actor David was. If you want to see, what I think are his best acting chops, watch his starring role in the movie, 'Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence', 1983, which has similarities to another older movie, 'The Bridge on the River Kwai' starring Alec Guiness re: prisoners in a Japanese Prison Camp during WW2. Also of a musical note, the theme song for the movie is a classic piece composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto, which won the 1984 BAFTA Award for Best Film Music. ps. My interest in Bowie and his music goes back to his connection with the Velvet Underground, and all the happenings around Studio 54, back in the heydays of Warhol, Lou Reed, Truman Capote, and Salvador Dali, etc.

I've read that Bowie had problems with Mainman, his management, and found himself pretty much very famous but broke. He got together with John Lennon, who also had similar problems with celebrity, and together with Carlos Alomar, came up with the song. Alomar was the guitarist for the Apollo Theatre house band and went on to frequently record with Bowie. Electric Lady studios are located in NYC and where Hendrix recorded. As noted below, Bowie was the ultimate performer. His music and persona were always changing and evolving; part of what made him so great.

Electric Lady was started by Jimi Hendrix but he died before it was finished unfortunately. It’s still in operation today.

Bowie has a lot of great songs man, I'm sure you'll find out. Electric Lady was Jimi's New York studio and Electric Ladyland was his third and final album.

Bowie was a performing artist, not just a musician or singer or songwriter. He went through many changes, showed us many different versions of himself and his artistic personality over the course of his life. In a way, Bowie's life was a performance, right down to the music and videos he recorded while he knew he was dying. Great song choice, and interesting reaction once again.

Great reaction as always!♥ Love your commentary😊 BTW the same channel has great performances at this same concert of "The Man Who Sold the World" (which Nirvana covered but Bowie wrote, in 1970) and "Ashes to Ashes," the 1980 sequel to Space Oddity (although you might want to see the iconic music video for "Ashes to Ashes" first). You can't go wrong with anything from this concert.
