ENOMA stands for 'Easygoing Native Outsiders Making Assessments'.
We are an Indian couple residing in Mumbai. We create first-time, single take & honest reactions.
We serve soulful, deep, insightful and pure reactions on a regular basis. Sometimes, the rest of the family joins us too.
Savio and me are two counselors, teachers & stay-at-home parents who enjoy listening to music for the first time.
We listen to music like it should be listened to. Without pausing the songs while we listen to them.
We seek to understand a song's true meaning. We love listening to music that adds value to our lives.
We often venture deep into the heart of a song to share an educated assessment on it.
Our post-reaction analysis is based on our educational background, life experiences, and rich culture.
As counselors, we are keen listeners. Savio is excellent at analyzing lyrics. People say I have good listening skills.
As a result, viewers get to watch good reactions on ENOMA every time.
We love reacting to music from all over the world. And of different genres and styles.
It can be easily seen in the 1500+ reactions we've already created on Enoma.
We are honest in our reviews. If we like a song, we say it. And if we didn't like it, we will say so.
Our channel has the official name 'CAFE ENOMA'. We started posting videos on 12th May, 2018.

One thing I overlooked, was how the song isn't structured like most regular songs. Chorus only appears once, then a few verses, before the bridge, then a breakdown leads into an extended middle-eight? And, it works so well. I also love the bass playing on this song.

Great song and reaction, have always loved the different and odd in a way. Bowie was both, yet at the same time, and entertainer that knew how to take you away for awhile. Much love and respect.!.

Two other great Bowie songs from the same period: "This Is Not America" and "Absolute Beginners" (I prefer the long version).

David was always a fantastic actor as well as singer. He didn't just sing the songs, but he PERFORMED them by inhabiting the heart, thoughts and feelings of the persons expressing themselves through the lyrics. That's usually what singers are "supposed" to do, I think. But only a handful of passionate artists are good enough to convincingly pull it off. And David was a master at it. Listen to his song "We Are the Dead" if you want to hear a dramatic performance!

It's a metaphor for heroin addiction ( china white = well known term for 'H' ) The lyrics make a lot more sense when you see it for what it is.

The song is actually a cover of an Iggy Pop song. The original was more of a pure love song though.

Fun dance song from the 1980s... but looking back on it from today's eyes, the title is a tad male chauvinistic. You wouldn't release a song today called "Mexico Girl" or "India Girl" or "Korea Girl" or "Somalia Girl" (like David Bowie's wife Iman) or "Philippines Girl" or "Peru Girl" or "Egypt Girl" or "Russia Girl."

More's the pity; how the hell did we get from the 80's where we didn't see it as racial or national or anything like that, to being afraid of your own shadows these days.

England used to occupy Hong Kong...so what I get from it is an English man in love with a China girl. But maybe she is not used to his way outgoing way of life. Maybe he is too forward and doesn't know their subtle way to court a woman from China.

Not a huge fan of this version. The original Iggy did had a lot more energy and just the way his vocals sound. It's menacing. Great collaboration though.
