Dave Rubin on his ‘wake-up call’ to ‘twisted, evil, woke cult’

The Rubin Report host Dave Rubin speaks with Sky News host Paul Murray about one of his wake-up calls to the "twisted, evil, woke cult" and how he was shocked to find conservatives to be “nicer”.
Mr Rubin said a few years ago he had Larry Elder, a conservative radio host, on his KZread show and was beaten "senseless with facts" by Mr Elder on the matter of systemic racism.
“And instead of doing what most lefties do which is call him a horrible name or cancel the show or kick him out or whatever, we aired it, we aired it as is," he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“And a few days later I saw a lot of people in the comments going, ‘you know, they’ve kind of listened’."
He said after this he started talking to other conservatives and found although he had some disagreements, they were “very open” to discussion and “knew what they thought and why they thought it”.
“And I find them, honestly, this was the most shocking part - I found them nicer.”

    I'm the same age as Dave. He's right about the 90s, most of these social problems had been solved. The woke cult coming into power has set us back at least 50 years.

    I've done plenty of that myself, but it's a process of increasing light on the minds. It's a slowly but surely years type of process. Personally it was a 2009-2012, rebirth, 2012 on forward, full felt illumination for me. (Full crown chakra). Definitely I've been through hell and back during the process. I've even called it limbo or purgatory, trials and tribulations. Felt that God's tough love would kill me if I didn't seriously wake up. Now in a totally contrary type of situation with God, protection from more Zombie types, that put me through hell, as much as remotely possible. My mental state, I always have to deal with it myself, be unbreakable, but my physical protection is a number one with God. At least I've had lifetime practice with the mental state, because it's been literally what hasn't killed me, has made me stronger. Why i sometimes feel like an unbreakable warrior soul, and feel a roaring within me. I'm stoically controlling over that right now, even if I feel like screaming ROOAAR!!! at the top of my lungs. I've got passionate rage of angels going on within me here right now, and where that globally goes, nobody knows. That's something that I have to be careful with, if the consequences against Zombies, comes very close near me.

    Someone admitting their wrong is hard, especially if they have to admit to an evili- ish type. They never forget and forgive, that's when I say the heck with it and walk away, I can say I tried. If I held everybody responsible who violated me, whether or not they admitted they admitted they were going wrong, I or anybody would be miserabley unhappy. That kind of stress is bad for health, comedy is good for health. I always try to bury the hatchet and move on. Psychco's can't do it.😂

    @@aventura8491 FWIW, many choose the evil path because they have lost faith that good can exist. I just saw a YT influencer say that "it's all about money." This is where atheism often leads. Children have been raised to think that older people, older ways, are automatically stupid, and that modern ways - because they are modern - are always improvements. The is the message given by Progressivism ... that the new is a progress over the old. So they conclude that faith is foolish, and that goodness doesn't exist. That nobody does good deeds for another, and nobody ever willingly sacrifices for the good of someone else. When this happens, it becomes the rationale for situations like the CCP in China or the USSR in Russia. And this is the doctrine that has infected the hearts and minds of the west.

    "Major problems about race, discrimination, inequality etc had been basically solved in our generation." I would go further than that. I am a generation older than Mr Rubin and the host of this show, and I dare to say that during MY generation, much of the most ugly forms of prejudice have been acknowledged and urgently redressed. I grew up in 1950s and 60s Hong Kong, the way women, handicapped, or even poor people were treated left much to be desired (we did not have a race problem in Hong Kong as the only other races were white and of course it was they who looked down on "little yellow people.") But by the 70s and 80s, huge strides were made towards a more tolerant, understanding, and compassionate society. White people too, abandoned their former haughty and belittling attitude and began to relate with us on a more equal and civil basis. By the turn the the last century, the transformation was well-nigh complete and the world was a much nicer place. But wow, then came the woke poison that aggressively "cancel" and attack everything that does not meet their "supreme" standard of wokism. Women are not allowed to be identified as women; breast-feeding must be called "chest-feeding;" mummy and daddy are out and must be identified as "birthing parents." According to Chinese people who had been through the Cultural Revolution (hereafter to be referred as CR,) Wokism reminds them of the worst excesses of that era of total madness and they have made comparison between the two horrifying trends. Firstly, during the CR, people were divided into categories---black (baddies, meaning intellectuals, former lander gentry, former rich people, counter-revolutionaries, rightist) or red (those considered totally loyal to the Chinese Communist Party.) With Woke, people are divided into "politically correct" and "politically incorrect." In both the Communist and the new Woke Culture, there is no room for compromise, common sense, historical background, rationale, or fairness. One word in support of a doomed intellectual, and you also became public enemy number one. Here, people like J K Rowling is being hounded, threatened and cancelled because she dares to speak out about gender issues. Secondly, in the CR, everything is being censored and monitored. A child accidentally spilled ink onto a picture of Mao in a newspaper, and the kid was put under the spot-light and interrogated about who taught her to "disrespect" our "Great Leader." Her parents were thrown in jail. With Woke, you cannot say one word in praise of Winston Churchill because he was supposed to be a "racist." In the final analysis, both the CR and Wokism aim to totally monopolise the past, present, and future and dictate to us what we could say, think, and do. It is the ultimate dictatorship.

    Think of it like a sporting event. The American news outlets are on different teams and Sky News is a spectator. The two apposing teams have bias based on the team they’re playing for and even if they know they’re wrong, they’ll deny any wrongdoing. The spectators can see what’s going on with both sides and call out the fouls when they see them, regardless what side commits them. Just as long as they don’t become hardcore fans of one side or the other. Then their favorite team can do no wrong in their eyes. Edit: I enjoy SNA. Even the shows that have nothing to do with America. More fun, entertaining and much less political correctness. Love the Aussie sense of humor.

What the left is saying and doing does not make sense and they themselves cannot properly answer to legitamite and concerning questions. I believe it is is all about personal greed, power, and money and to hell with the country.     Fantastic interview! I remember Rush Limbaugh saying many times that we've had to invent our own problems because we're so wealthy as a country, and we had solved so many of the long standing issues. Also to quote President Reagan: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

They try to find common ground. Leftists don't do that. With Leftists you're either with the programme or you're not, and while they'll be super nice to each other and virtue signal about it, they consider it a duty to hate and revile Rightists and virtue signal about that too.     In 1990 my wife and I would take our daily walk of three miles in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Looking into the window of a "head shop" I saw a sign the said "total tolerance". I scratched my head on that. Over the years I now understand what the significance of the NAMBLA celebration on the floor of the Democratic Convention, back when they nominated George McGovern for President. The WOKE have always been amongst us, but in small numbers. They are now on the verge of conquest, this can't end well.

    I think Dave is wrong about tolerance. Tolerance is all about free speech. Free speech tolerates all speech, including intolerant speech. The problem with all the liberals who became woke is not that they *tolerated* intolerance, but that they *embraced* it, and then *required* it.

    I leaned left. But had voted conservative as well. I live in Canada and knew Trudulf was questionable. Never voted for him. But did not know the full evil story about him. WEF, maid, etc. I did not like Trump. But then he made his first peace deal in the Middle East. Never thought I would see the day. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. But I watched CNN spent an hour trying to gaslight me into believing it was a bad thing. Up until then I was not really paying attention. But that is when I started to really pay attention and started to see the truth. Once you see the truth, you can not unsee it. Can not wait to see Trump back in charge of America and the evil woke Nazis out.

The current "woke" cult-like behavior was a direct result of being enabled by "political correctness" which, by the way, the late George Carlin summed up perfectly when he said "political correctness is fascism with manners". The very approach the "woke" cult uses is a radicalized bastardization of the political correctness. Now, though, not only are you looked upon as "out of touch" as before but, now, you are looked upon as a legitimate target for whatever revenge-driven punishment the cult deems appropriate which can range from the relatively mild "cancellation" to, in the case of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, attempts on one's life.

    Yes Yes Yes, I am in the middle, probably used to be center left until I realized that the left is definitely Meaner than the right.... not to say the right can't be mean but overall, I find the left to be more mean spirited and Intolerant than the right, so I have shifted to center right.... (I am Independent) closer to Libertarianism than anything if I had to label it at all
