Mustaine played a King V right when it first came out, and then he got a sig model called the Y2K V, which was more Gibson-esque (though he still played the King Vs). Then Fender bought Jackson and refused to give him free guitars regularly and the ESP DV8 came out. After that one he had the ESP Axxion sig, and now he's got the Dean VMNT.

i´ve heard you actually have to fix the frets on all deans that come from the factory, i worked in a guitar shop and when the guy ordered 5 deans he had to file the frets on all of them!

well, dean is my personal favorite. what i do LOVE about jacksons is the action is really low. its a close one but dean wins in my opinion. and as far as endorsing, there arent many... dave mustaine, michael shenker, michel angelo batio, and Trivium of course.

howeva ive been havin problems with it.There was buzzin on the frets of guitar then i sent it bak 2 the shop to get that fix they raise the bridge,no buzz but da bridge was hell high so they r goona file the frets Its such a pain Im abit piss of @ dean coz i waited over 3 months 4 this guitar n i thought it wouldnt have any problems being brand new n straight from the factory n I give u another opion of the gtar once i get it bak but if im still getin problems im not goona buy deans again.

The only thing I don't like about Dave's new guitar is the inlays but other wise sick.

Dean and ESP create some of the greatest guitARS for the best pro guitarist of our time, and after all, dimebag derrell used dean =)

if he went to bc rich, u will never be able to put your hands on his original new bc rich, just take a look to kerry king, if u want to have the same exact model u have to pay something like 4000 or 5000D, i wish if he stayed with jackson ,but this new dean is really fuckin awsome, i like his body shape, he s way better than the esp,

i love all the dimebag guitars and I've tried out quite a few Deans and they sound awesome and they're very comfortable. that being said I don't like these new Mustaine guitars. I think the ESP's looked way cooler. I'm sure they sound great but I dont like the way they look at all.

I don't agree. They have evolved into a great band. The only reason you are saying that is because Matt Heafey started to sing and it just happens to sound Like James Hetfield. Kirk Hammet himself has said that Trivium is one of his favorite new bands. The truth is that Trivium is how we all wish Metalica sounded now a days.

no, they were very original until their new album, which IS a metallica rip off. i do not like their new stuff, old stuff was way better. matt heafy himself said that the black album was the most influential metallica album to him... in my opinion that album (besides st. anger) is the least metal album that they have. they are wasting away, just like their metallica predecessors.
