Dave is seriously the best. The fact that he still has stage fright after 25+ years of being in the public eye and playing for thousands of people just makes him even more likable to me. He is, by far, my favorite musician. Plus, his wine is delicious!

I like how Dave turns to acknowledge the band in the beginning and gives them a thumbs up

Colbert is fairly notorious for acting blase' and not amused by guests' humor.

Dave is the best, so real and animated.

Dave still misses LeRoi Moore like we do. Can't believe it's almost been 10 years since his passing. RIP

From someone that has been a republican for as long as I can remember and loved Dave Matthews for almost 20 years I have to say I never have any love lost for this guy. He’s odd and from a totally different world than me, but that doesn’t change a thing. We’re all kinds of different in our own little ways, but DMB’s music can resonate with us all if we pay close enough attention. Can’t wait for the 2018 tour and differences mean nothing to me. Dave, you’re still a gift to this world. Keep doing what you do!

Dale did you already go to the shows you were heading to? Which shows were they btw? I just got back from SPAC last weekend and all I can say is... wow. Nothing can ever replace Boyd but the addition of Buddy has been an amazing fit that has added a whole new sort of sound to DMB shows, they've gotten a lot funkier while still retaining all of that classic DMB vibe we like them for. The bass that you'll hear coming from Stefan's bass, Carter's kicks, and now Buddy's low end organ notes, it's so satisfying and it was a fantastic move to recover from the Boyd thing, it got them back on track, didn't add another violin so there's no need to compare violin players and take sides between the fans... and added something totally new in terms of sound/experience to rejuvenate the old fans who've heard every song 1,000 times, and on top of that, enhancing the low end of the sound spectrum at DMB shows to give it even more punch that makes the shows feel higher energy. After SPAC this weekend, I'd like for Boyd to come back but I am an instant huge fan of Buddy as a new band member.

I saw Dave with Tim Reynolds about 20 years ago at Winter Park, Co. Some guy rushed the stage, but Dave was so stoned he didn't know what was happening till it was over. Classic.

Dave and Tim shows will make you amazed at just how much sound can be generated from 2 simple guitars. You'd think it would be this low key soft slow evening, but the energy they can bring out of the crowd and the sound they can fill the venue with, only using 2 guitars and a voice, it's just unreal. I'm sure he played an amazing show for you guys, whenever Dave/DMB goes overseas or down to Mexico/South America they go balls to the wall and give everyone a night to remember. You can definitely hear it in the Live Trax from Europe/South America or any of the tapes on Dreaming Tree's sharing community, they know you guys don't get opportunities to see them so they make it count

From my experience he doesn't like talking about politics when he's in the US, which I can understand. My dad went to a show of his in Prague and he read a few sentences in Czech apologising to the crowd for the US electing Trump.
