Pat smear is the goat!!! Dude was in the Germs, nirvana, and foo fighters and had successfully kept his head down for 30+ years. Dude stayed in his bag and worked his ass off. Nothing but respect

Pat always looks like he just got away with something.
i just wanna watch pat laugh. it makes me genuinely happy.
I love how down to earth Pat and Dave are
"The stuff that's really hard we just fucking give it to Chris" 😂😂😂😂
"I don't have your f... cellphone, we're listening to Kashmir man, leave me alone " aaaah that is so funny
What amuses me about Pat is how like so many others here have pointed out that he seems so down to earth and comes across as a genuinely sweet guy. But watch footage of him from early Germs gigs or in The Decline of Western Civilization and he ALWAYS looks pissed off or ready to fight. But that is because he was always pissed off and ready to fight! You had to be as a punk back then. People hated you for simply looking as different as punks did back then. I (also from Los Angeles) personally had people yell at me that they wanted to kill me for looking the way I did. I watched an interview with Pat where he pointed out how cool it is to see someone with blue hair walking down the street nowadays and how he feels proud that they pioneered that and how it is just a given nowadays. I have always felt that way and pretty much any time I see someone with brightly colored hair wonder if that person knows what it took to make it OK for people on the street to accept them for looking like that. Change always threatens people but after awhile it becomes normal and then it's like "Hmpf ... nobody cares anymore". Anyway the world owes punk rock a huge thank you for normalizing so much about the way we all act and look that people take for granted today. And it all started with outcasts like Pat Smear and Darby Crash / Bobby Pin.

As someone who went to prom with purple hair in midwestern suburbia (2007), I appreciate this comment. By that time it was cool rather than frowned upon.
I love pats vibe. Always happy.
Pat Smear. Fucking Legend.

Awesome interview!..The guy taking the interview nailed it
That was a terrific interview, I love that dude from Kerrang 🤘🏼 Pat and Dave... Luv those two... How are they referred to?... The legend (Pat) and legendary (Dave)? We live in some pretty swell times 🙏🏼
Smearnoff vodka? 😃 Love the Foo's.
I love Dave, of course, but Pat is just stinkin' cute! He seems like such a sweet person.

It's just funny to me that Pat was in a big time punk band in the 70s and is still so chill and cool these days with the Foos. He just doesn't seem like a guy in his mid-60s

i remember an interview in 94 the giy asked what makes their anger rise or some shit. kurt said gluttony, krist said materialism, and dave said wealth....now hes one if the richest rock stars ever. he use to talk shit all the time about rich rock stars. crazy how things change, especially if you have a nirvana credit card.
Foo fighters whisky!!!!# c'mon bring IT On!! Baggsy trying that !
"Listen, guys, gotta wrap it up ..." Can you even begin to imagine the self-control needed to utter those words during that moment while Dave is in story mode?
Who wouldn’t love to hang out with David
When asked the stupid ice-breaking party question, "If you could live someone else's life for one year, who would it be?" I've normally had said, Hugh Heffner. (Yes, I'm a man, which, by birth, makes me a pig as well. I have my moments, but I recognize I'm really a pig. No apologies.) BUT...after watching Dave Grohl, and listening to his life experiences AND just how cool the guy seems to be, he's giving Mr. Heffner a run for his money.

Love Dave. Love pat. Love the FF. Love nirvana… but the new album SUCKS.
Love Dave but to compare Rock gods like Zepplin to a Pop band like the Beatles is ridiculous. Dave is too young to remember how cheesy the Beatles movies, videos, appearances on shows and 90% of their music was. Beatles' concert audiences were 60s version of Backstreet Boys' audiences. Zeppelin is without a doubt the greatest rock band of all time.

Everyone is saying “later albums.” I say early albums too. Pop or not, Beatles were the “Nirvana” of that era. They changed Rock N Roll. They were the face of the British Invasion. They weren’t a “boy band.” Actually, much of the music that went out of style soon after the Beatles came out were more like boy bands. A bunch of lame, sappy, singing acts were the thing.
I don’t like that he calls people “mother fucker” he should change that .
I’ve lost so much respect for him since Taylor’s passing! He’s so obsessed with Led Zeppelin he invoked the spirit of John Bonham for talent! I can’t stand him!
