The 1999 Yellow Freight 300 at Atlanta Motor Speedway will forever go down as one of the more unique races in Busch Grand National Series history. Mike Skinner won the race but was disqualified after NASCAR found what they claimed was an illegal part. This handed the victory to Dave Blaney, which turned out to be the first of his Busch Series career. He held the victory for the rest of Sunday, all of Monday and Tuesday but on Wednesday the victory was given back to Skinner.

I remember seeing a Busch ad from WCS on social media that showed Blaney as the winner before it got reversed.

Poor Dave. Not the greatest, but the poor guy deserved a better NASCAR send-off than what he got, driving that steaming pile 77 car for Randy Humphrey and starting and parking a third Baldwin car
🏳️🌈📺📼🏎️🧰🛠️🔧🪛🎙️🏆🏁💡🧢📻🎤📷📰📹📱 Jeez I never ever felt bad for Ryan Blaney dad Dave he works so hard in 1999 spring race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in NASCAR Busch Grand National Series to finish 2nd place. I remember that one since just watching NASCAR races on TV they talking about Mike Skinner team. I do realize the race it was overcast cloudy ☁️☁️ all day. So glad Dave Blaney finally got his only career win at Lowe's Motor Speedway under the lights on October 13th 2006 while I was busy doing guarding the gates from my North Port High School football game on my ROTC uniform for my senior year & closer to my 19th birthday at the time. Don't forget remember this year at Daytona International Speedway under the lights for NASCAR Xfinity Series for Jeremy Clemons did the same thing Mike Skinner did back in spring 1999. Boy some of team owner gotten their appeal from NASCAR rule book but they gotten fail so many many times on section for the rule book.
