What a gem. I can't believe I found this after seeing Survivor with both talented singers!

im sad that jimi gone too soon, but i pray for dave to have long life and can still perform so i can still watch a living legend live performance before i get another regret like with michael jackson, i wanna say thank you dave for doing what you love despite of being 67 and still giving us a 90s kid a great music of all time from the band survivor and timeless music "eye of the tiger"

I am very impressed with his take on this song from Jami. jami would be proud in rock n roll heaven.

he had a vocal cord surgery n lost his original voice.......but still m a big fan :)

I dont think he "lost" his original voice because of the surgery. Singers change like everybody else. Exploring new techniques and so on. Also keep in mind that he is 65. I was surprised how well he sings this song though.

Although it is factual that he had vocal cord polyp surgery in the 80's which prevented him from touring with Survivor for "Caught In The Game", He didn't lose his voice. He was right back with Survivor in the 90's. Have you heard Fire Makes Steel (The Demos)? Amazing album. Some of Dave's best work in my opinion. Dave is fine. His voice is fine. He is just getting older, like we all do in time. ;)

I think his voice sounds pretty similar to his "original" voice. But he's older now.

Glad to see him still doing some of the songs he did with Jimi for a few years when they both toured with Survivor. I'd rather hear Dave struggle a bit with it than some kid who wasn't even born then. And Frankly (😜)... Fuck Frankie Sullivan.

Dave sounds awsome. Jimmie was able to hit the highs solid till the end. I love Dave’s voice and always have. Jimmies songs were too high for most male vocalists. Dave should sing new songs and keep the notes within a more comfortable range. It’s not all about how high you can go, it’s about quality and passion and Mr Beckler is one of the all time best.

Umm, no ... Jimi kept singing this song in it's original key .. but he really struggled with it, live (depending on the night, and city) his last couple years.

Zorn Casteel I saw jimmi at Ridgefield Playhouse approximately 3 months before he left us. He hit every note solid.

Bickler could hit hight notes too in his prime. It's just he's old now. Still impressive though.

@@analystzorncasteel3047 I saw him at several performances live. Jimi always brought it. Every show fabulous performance. He was one of the best male vocalist out there. God bless him. Not only could sing he was genuine soul. Real as you get.

Him and Jimi Jamison were friends.

Jimi sing high more and more and more

No matter what, Jimi is the best singer of the two! Jamisons vocals were outstanding and hot to mention he crushed Dave’s hit Eye of the Tiger! Jimi should be in the hall of fame, cause not only did he lead Survivor to three glorious albums, he had loads of solo work that blows anything Dave did outta the water! Never Too Late, Crossroads Moments, Empires, When Love Comes Down, Jimi Jamison and Jim Peterik, and Bobby Kimball and Jimi Jamison, not to mention also Reach was never released! Jamison best and my favorite, Dave average and left for a reason!

What do u mean climbing bruh?! Jimis vocals were higher pitched and and not deep, no matter what u say, the only good song Dave had was eye of the tiger, take that out, what’s he left with: nothing, no one remember Dave bickler, who would? People remember Jimi because he was way more popular and did a lot more than jus with Survivor, Never Too Late, I’m Always Here, Worth Fighting For, Dream Higher, there’s no competition, Jimis better to every time all the judges and ppl who look at this stuff cause he produced more better stuff than Dave did, no one ever talks ab survivors first two albums, only the last two bf Dave left, Jimi had hits from each album that ppl know and love still today, look up the facts

For all the ungrateful people who comparing Dave to Jimi about who is the best, Dave had throat surgery, if Dave didn't have to leave Survivor, you would have to listen to Jimi on another stage and not Survivor's stage! You people going on and on, yet still Dave is the only singer on Survivor Band to hit #1 and still in this time a crowd favorite with Eye of the tiger." He survived the 80s and 90s away from the drugs and controversies, still alive and doing well! Give the man some credit for his efforts don't wait for him to die like Jimi before he can get some appreciation.

Really pitchy, but still pretty damn good for his age, and considering all the vocal cord issues he's had.

Survivor's all-time frontman is Jamison, but glorious Eye of The Tiger's singer is Bickler... absolutely not Jamison.

I don't know what the relationship was with Jimi and Dave before Jimi passed but obviously they sang together. Anyway I would rather listen to Dave sing these songs then listen to fucking crackhead Sullivans version.

Sucede que le hicieron cirugía a las cuerdas vocales, sumale eso a que ya esta en la tercera edad, ambos son fantasticos pero siempre me gusto el estilo de Dave
