The 6th and final show in a series of 6 shows that Dave Allen recorded for the BBC in 1990, what would become his final stint on the BBC doing stand up in.
The show is notorious for the complaints it received for Dave's controversial humour, something that is considered tame by the standards of 2020.
This episode his observation humour looks at the great killer - stress with things like snorers, the stories of the sandman and junk mail.
I do wonder what Dave would make of spam emails and Covid in today's world.

Still laugh so much at this man. He brings with him happy memories of my daddy roaring loudly with laughter listening to him. Then last night I was watching Dave Allen on my iPad in my bedroom, I was roaring with laughter and my son comes into my room and tells me to keep quiet as I was laughing too loud. Well Dave Allen you have worked you magic on yet another generation. Much missed genius of a man.
Dave's my favourite comedian of all time. The man was such a talent, and we were so comfortable in his company, that he felt like a close friend. Just wish that he were still here, bringing joy to our lives in his own, inimitable way. Thank you for everything, Dave. You were, and still are, the greatest of them all.

Sure, a year ahead if not decades. He made this programme in 1990 and the date on the screen is 1989. How d' he do that? 🙂

I only “found“ Dave Allen a few years ago and love him! Another amazing brilliant and articulate stand up atheist comedian was George Carlin! These two should have met. Two of the funniest man ever.

I only “found“ Dave Allen a few years ago and love everything I find with him. Another great stand-up atheist is George Carlin. George Carlin was strictly a storyteller and observed life much like they’ve accepted had skits and all kinds of other facets to his entertainment. Thank you so much for posting!

Not accurate, stress is what happens when you freeze because flight or fight response can't make up it's mind which option to go with. That's where stress cones from in that instance.
