I never knew how old Sammy was until last week. He is doing very well for a 76 year old, still has that voice. And since I was in high school when the first Van Halen album came out, I do not fall into the Idol demographic. I did not know Daughtry was an Idol contestant, I had only heard his name on the radio.

Sammy is a great guitarist and singer who underplays his talent.

Oh my....Chris' voice is so powerful. He always gives me chills. Sammy, though....the Red Rocker is timeless. Love 'em both!

I once sang karaoke with members of Collective Soul in a dive bar in Japan.. Great memories.

Saw Chris in 2009 in Philadelphia. He opened for BonJovi and it was like getting to concerts for the price of one. He even came back out and sang a BonJovi song with Jon!

Live is not from Philadelphia.. theyre from Quarryville! They graduated from Solanco high school. We lived there for 3 years in lancaster co pa outside of west chester pa.. and its a amish town. My kids went to that school and their pictures are in the year book and all over the school

REALLY cool performance. Can't believe how Sammy's pipes could hold up so well, especially in the registers he sings. He must know how to take care of his voice. Longevity like that doesn't just happen. Whatever he does, he should teach all the upcoming singers. Too many burn their voices up, like Joe Cocker (but Joe did last quite a while!)

My wife and I saw Chris and his band at the Virgin in Vegas a year or so ago with Tremonte (metal dude). They did a collaboration with together for Alice In Chains Man in the Box, and it was freakin awesome. This can sing anything.
