I used to read a lot of comments like "this artist's music saved my life" and I never truly understood how someone's music could save someone else's life until I started listening to Daughter. this year I went through some negative experiences which pushed me to the ground and left me emotionally and psychologically unstable. I used to cry a lot before falling asleep...but one night I played Shallows and I kept listening to it for the rest of the night. as the days went by I kept listening to Elena's voice and slowly things started to get better, I found emotional release in her voice. Elena is genuinely a God's gift to this world and I wish her all good things in her career. thanks Daughter for being there when I needed, you actually saved me.

Comfortably and easily one of my favourite 3 artists of time alongside Placebo and Frightened Rabbit. All 3 of them have emotionally hit me hard like no other. Try Pierrot The Clown and Bosco by Placebo, Poke and Die Like A Rich Boy (Acoustic) but make sure you've plenty of Tissues with all of these! 😂

In 2013 I took a 110 mile round trip to see Daughter in a small church in Leeds, it was an experience I will never forget. Sat on my own near the front and freezing cold, half of the set I had tears streaming down my face! Not many bands that can do that to me and driving home it was as though all my bad thoughts had left me. Incredible live act.

Holy shit. What a beautiful performance. I love how Elena uses her voice, she never pushes it too far, it's always just enough, just right, a clever restraint that holds this gorgeous bittersweet tone. I love this group, and I think they have a lot of growing room, can't wait to see what else they do because they are obviously talented musicians.

There is some music where the effect it has on me is very hard to describe. It hits me in a place deep inside somewhere between my heart and my brain. There is a second where I feel complete bliss - I close my eyes and I feel it roll over and in me. This song has several of those moments. I absolutely love it.

I can't explain the feeling.

That’s so hard when you get some last time with somebody you love. Like, a goodbye. And then, after an amazing night of your heart feeling warm and getting so peaceful beside the one you love, tomorrow comes and leave you without all these good moments... god i wish tomorrow never came.

Daughter is my favorite thing in the world. If I die today, I would miss Daughter's music and how it moved me in so many ways!

I find the song very humbling. I like to listen to it when I'm depressed sometimes and doesn't kill the pain but somehow it makes me more comfortable in it. like putting on a jacket on a cold day. what a pretty song. if you like this the I suggest (I'm on fire by stateless) get the full six minute song. it's great too.

Everytime I listen to this song I cry for a good 20 minutes

I don't understand why someone would unlike her videos. I think her music is the kind that infiltrate the lungs and pumps the blood. Its the kind of something that makes you feel.

The feelings Daughter (and this particular version of the song) gives me are just way too big on my chest to explain. It's like I can just lay wherever with my eyes closed, and hear that lovely melody, with some really heart-crushing lyrics and her voice, and I know everything will go as it has to go. I'm really scared of tomorrow but I know it'll come. Is coming. Every second that passes is a second closer to be there. And this song makes me feel like it's okay to feel like that.

There are no words to explain how painful and gorgeous this song is.

So beautiful. I've seen them play in Holland twice and it was immaculate both times. Still take my breath away. Wonderful version of the song.

This song is just magic. I never get tired of listening it. It's the kind of song to listen with your eyes closed and let it take you wherever it wants to. The soundtrack of a rainy day, or maybe you are the one whose soul is drenched, but this song always find a way of healing you, it gives a ray of hope on a stormy day.

A word for Joe Duddell - you did this collaboration with such sensitivity for Daughter, and your musicians added richness to their essence. Beautiful. Thank you.

This perfectly describes my experience of Borderline Personality Disorder. What it comes down to is, I can't possibly pretend to welcome tomorrow with my friends knowing that I will lose them tomorrow. I can't enjoy anything because if I admit I enjoy it, it will be taken from me. That's how the world works. And if or when you're really left alone, why bother even living? "So don't bring tomorrow... I already know I will lose you."

Thank you for your good will. Unfortunately I was not born with the ability to take things well. I have built in reactions of acute stress and grief from almost any interaction, resulting from brain abnormalities. Right now I cannot work and most of my friends have left me. However. I believe it's possible to learn to handle my emotions appropriately with enough years of intensive therapy. Many others with Borderline have been able to do this, so I think it's possible. It will just take years.
