I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZread Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club President and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
I enjoy watching videos especailly singing performances and react to them.
I keep my reactions real and natural.

I'm Malaysian, but I've listened to Hetty Koes Endang since early 80's . She's a Pop Legend with true vocal prowess... incredible voice and live performer... Huge respect for her..
DS Siti is one of the luckiest Malaysian celebrity(not just as a music act) to be adore and loved by a lot of Indonesian celebrities either senior celebrities or junior celebrities.. Hetty Koes Endang really famous in the 70's until now, not just in Indonesia but Malaysia too since she stayed quite a while in Malaysia to expand her singing career back then..

if I'm not mistaken as early as 1978 hetty koes endang is a big name in Indonesia... siti was borned in 1979...and now they are singing together... and I love them both...

I have not found a video where even Rossa or Krisdayanti or Anggun or BCL singing together with Hetty Koes Endang (HKE) Those divas are amazing in their respective ways, but HKE has been known as vocal powerhouse since the 70s. So those divas might not be able to balance with HKE. BUT, Siti Nurhaliza is capable of that. Of course Siti can. All the awards, local and international that she won, are the proof for her credibility. Siti Nurhaliza probably has performed with so many legends from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. That's why she is The Best.

when there is Hetty Koes Endang... and Dato Siti... what can you say? Hetty is such a legendary singer and performer. Even her rendition of the most difficult Malay song genre which is KERONCONG.. no one can beat her perfections. Dato Siti probably learned so much from her. Malay song genre got so many genre, there is keroncong, asli, inang, zapin and some more. got many influences from arabs in terms of sounds but its so true to Malay roots its self for generations... i remember u reacted to the Dato Siti performance on Kenang Daku Dalam Doamu. That is one of the genre. So, to be a singer and performer in Malaysia and Indonesia, some one must learned this genre beside pop, rock or rnb. its not an easy task. Dato Siti masters all genre but heavy metal rock. i mean, her vocal so stunning but not like Awie. I hope in future you should react Dato Siti english album.
