I went through all that in my 20's in southeastern Europe. So it's not the age that's a problem. Now at 43 y.o, when I see a red flag, I don't explain anything to him anymore, I just block, save the messages to show to the police if he starts stalking and move on.

I didn’t even have the energy to tell him about his self, I just blocked him.
