My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day 54 years together. Since his death four years ago I host a Galentine’s Day Luncheon for my female friends who are widows. I make it special for them, and they appreciate it.

I don't have a significant other, but I bought my home (on-my-own), on Valentines Day. That's one big reason why I love Valentines Day. The other reason is that there are lots of people (Grandchildren) that I love. I celebrate LOVE on Valentines Day. Valentine's Day isn't just for lovers. It's for LOVE.

I picked up on that as well, plus why would his wife buy him a valentines gift with “his” money. It’s a marriage, whatever money comes in is “theirs” as a whole, sounds like a control freak. I can’t believe women are so desperate to pay him thinking by doing so they’ll find their forever love, he’s a scam playing on this desperation, it’s not rocket science. Dominique you’re hanging off his words, looking desperate, his words won’t find you someone

I'd like to point out that there are other options than the 2 this guest mentioned of "seeking a relationship" vs. "being alone for the rest of your life" LOL! I have been free for years and am much happier this way. I would not at all describe myself as "alone"!

I think this is my first ever comment on any video of yours that wasn't glowing. I thought about not posting it, but then I thought, why not? It's honest. I didn't care for his reasoning of why his wife wouldn't buy him a gift with his own money. My belief is that it's their money, as they share all things in the life they share together.

Married 21 years this fall. We do not celebrate ANY days. Bdays, anniversary, holidays. Nope. But we make time every day, we date, flirt, give full body massages, tuck each other in, snuggle, tell secrets, eat meals together, raise kids together. We are best friends and I love my sweet husband who is my provider, and I am the happy housewife❤. It is a dream to have a hard working loyal loving husband😊👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻

I was 18 and my husband was 22 when we got married. It lasted 46 years until his death. I never got tired of seeing him when I woke up in the morning and when we came home at night. He made me feel cherished. I have looked for the last 15 years for someone to feel this void in my life, but no one else has come close.

this was a wonderful podcast, and I hope you bring Evan back again. The only thing that could make it better is to find a different way to monetize rather than the multiple sales pitches. So many of us are unable to fast forward and are forced to bear through 3 to 4 product pitches back to back .

So many things that Evan said are 100% right. I have been marry for 50 yrs and the changes of love, change as the years go by. I always use the car example too, after a few years, you still love the car, but it doesn’t smell new, it is not as shiny, it got some scratches, and a few dings, but it is still a good car, that has performed well. It is normal when the lust, the passion, the sexual desire comes down after several years. And it is at this time when the love is more about the understanding, the relationship, the friendship between your partner. We live in a disposable society, and I see so many people do that with marriages, they get tiered, they want the excitement of the first months, but do not think that after a few years they will be at the same place that they were with the last relationship. Very good blog Dominique, Evan is so on point with his explanations and analysis of love and relationships. ❤

This is my second comment. Did anyone else hear and notice he said we live the 1950’s life? And my wife has no money because she doesn’t have a job. WHAT!! She doesn’t even have access to money to buy him a card!? Sounds to me as though he is controlling! Maybe she should start charging him for babysitting and caring for his children and cleaning their home! Then she WOULD have some money of her own! Or they should have a joint banking account! What does anyone else think of my comment? Be respectful, but I’d like someone else’s take on this.

I've been married 20 years but really enjoyed this interview, he is so funny, insightful and appreciative of women....his comments about his own marriage he very clearly says that's what works for them, it's not disrespecting of anyone else's choices in their relationship. Also Valentines has never been a big deal in our house, honestly...we give cards and maybe flowers but my husband works away alot so we are often apart and it doesn't really bother us, we have found other ways to have quality time together. Also did you know that St Valentine was a celibate priest?!?

Another big plus to going online is that you can meet someone who lives far enough away that you would probably never meet in a social situation. We both lived in Southern California, but about 50 miles apart. So, it was not exactly a long-distance relationship because we could easily drive, but even though we both lived in very populated counties, we just had a difficult time meeting someone who lived closer.

Thank you for the thoughtful and certainly entertaining podcast - we can consider Evan's responses controversial at times but I enjoyed listening to his point of view and learned a few things for myself :) P.S. I'm married for 30 years (this year); our marriage is not ideal, we have serious disagreements at times but... we are keeping on :) I think the most important quality in marriage is a sense of humor - it helps a lot.

loved him this second round too. I love the honestly male perspective on dating. "Let men pursue you.." "look for chemistry and compatibility" "You are the CEO of your life👍" Zuckerberg is not busy chasing interns but it is them chasing him🤛" "You chose to allow the jerks into your life" . Much needed advice for the modern woman.

Dominique the air over there is really suiting you! You look more beautiful than ever. I really like your hair colour and style and also your makeup- perhaps another makeup hair tutorial? However, I do realise you very busy now. Best wishes, Lisa, Galway, Ireland xx

Husband and I met 61 years ago on Valentine's Day. Love changes over the years and it isn't really romantic. It's acknowledgement of the years of our commitment and making the marriage work.

Interesting. Lots of this is spot on. His description of the woman who lured her husband to the other side of the kitchen with potato chips gave the eye rolls. I think we should be able to communicate directly, with kindness. I won't thank someone for doing the dishes that they, too, contributed to. I won't let them pile up and patiently hope that he notices. He's a grown human living with another grown human both equally responsible for keeping their environment sanitary. Ugh.

Phenomenal guest: he is absolutely gifted, sharp, intelligent and I could learn from him all week. He doesn’t need to be summed up or given the last word by the host. He’s amazingly good at his profession, you can tell it from the first five minutes. ❤

First, He has cute eyebrows. Second, some good advice, perhaps I'll try those websites, but I worry about privacy from the APPS themselves. I like the 5 Cs and the K, plus the 3 As.

He didn't spend hardly any time talking about dating over 50+. I find it to be totally different than dating in mt 20s.

None of this applies to me,I am 79, married 55 years and recovering from a broken wrist. This was such an excellent discussion that I listened to every word if this is not a big boost for good old common sense, nothing would be. An amazing guest and a wonderful interviewer. I learned a few things myself! Just terrific!❤
