not even technically it's just literally objectively more superficial. whrn a person is rich and well educated that atleast tells you they are probably smart and hardworking (not always ofc) but looks mostly indicate literally nothing.

New Yorkers like personality, ambition, and substance…and LA likes looks. She knows where she stands I guess

She has it completely wrong. I’m originally from NYC and I’ve been living in the IE Area for 2-years now - I love Cali but the people are super superficial. You’ll get authenticity in NYC.

Lotta factors, different parts of la have hella different people, and the same goes for nyc. i live around north hollywood in the valley not the nicest area around tbh but the people here are some of the nicest and most real I've met, maybe that's cause they're all stoner mexicans but still true lmao, I mean cali is def more superficial in a lotta ways but theres plenty of authenticity, everyone's different. I had a much worse experience with people in the bay area haha

Wait, NYC is superficial because of the inerest in background, education, and income/occupation but LA isn't when she says the focus is on looks (the definition of superficial).

I would lean towards NY more 😂 even if they can sound a bit rude but it is not bad to have ambition, it is definitely not bad to set a high goal to be financially well off aswell. It takes hardwork. As for looks I think that's more superficial.
