One of my close friends irl did this to me because i was “affectionate” one told me I’ll probably be a lesbian and the other told me i’ll be bi at 14 and that made me question my entire life and it’s frustrating and infuriating and really inappropriate to do actually when you think about it. I’m way older now and can say that no im not gay or bi (not that there’s anything wrong with that)

The commenter said that Shawn Mendes just has a heart and isn't disrespectful which (she is claiming) is why he is not seen as overly masculine. This assumes that respectfulness and having a heart are feminine traits

Shawn and Camila are couple goals. They stay away from the limelight and have been living together for a year, always supporting and praising one another and evolving as people together. I love how respectful he was with their relationship and how this video was a "listen, just let people let be people" for everyone who is making up these conperacy things or whatever. I've been a fan of both of them before shawmila was a thing and you can tell they were friends into each other who eventually got into a relationship. I think whether or not you're a fan you shouldn't asume things about a celebrity or anybody really.

People are so used to drama when it comes to celebrities that they think they're boring and gross and weird when in actual fact they've just become more comfortable being themselves after not being in the public eye 24/7 in the last year and living a life of domestic bliss. They are just a normal couple who do normal couple things like take their dogs for walks and post (very few) pictures together on social media. No matter what the outsiders say they're going to continue to have one of the most healthy relationships in Hollywood.

they have a chemistry like no other I just love them and they are the most sweetest cutest and funniest couple , they understand each other because their relationship goes beyond everything because it started from a strong friendship.

I believe that they both have such a strong foundation of friendship that that comes through more in front of the cameras. There is intimacy there but in a lot of the footage of them it's subtle. Camila has really helped Shawn come out of his shell a bit as far as expressing intimacy and not caring about what outsiders think of their relationship. They've both said that the barrage of hate against them from the beginning of their relationship had affected their mental health with camila getting bodyshamed and being compared to Shawn's "ex" Hailey Baldwin now Bieber. And this hate and scrutiny also hindered his public affection towards her at the beginning and that's why she seemed more into him at first because she wanted to love him unashamedly regardless of the backlash.

Yuh I totally agree shawn was just very nervous about kissing and stuff in pubic and honestly caint blame him they were only dating for a couple of months back then and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want people watching me while I was kissing my partner. But now that they have been together longer u can see how affectionate they are to each other and how much they love to be around each other I'm just so worried that someone would cross the line more than some shawmila haters have already done and cause them to have mental damage because people be saying some awful and hurtful things and it's just not right. Thanks for this! The PR and gay conspiracy theories come mostly from either teen girls who want Shawn to still be single & available and regularly throw hate at Camila online, or from the gay community who want him to be avail to them. That's what I see online, and I think Camila is brave to date him given the tremendous amount of hate she gets for it. This being said, I watched these two fall in love 5 yrs ago during the time they were performing their first song together. They were always super close. They started officially dating in 2019 and been inseparable since. It's good to see two beautiful & kind people finding happiness together, so I really wish people would let them be.

Just the way these 2 perform Senorita live, tells me they either really like each other, or there is some Meryl Streep, Daniel Day-Lewis level of acting going on there, and last time I checked, as talented as they are, they didn't have multiple Oscars in their arsenal!

Love your non-judgemental view) Most of this footage is from the beginning of their relationship and for sure he was really shy then in public especially. Also he said that in the beginning he wasn't fully "in" as she was because he was too afraid. That's understandable because for so many years he wanted to be with her so when he finally got her he was afraid that something can go wrong. But if you watch some latest stuff (like the first interview) you'll see that now he always gasping about her and shows his feelings as much as she is. And that's so wonderful to see these amazing people in love growing and changing together 💞

i really love your videos about them because as much as you dont know a lot about their personalities, you still read them really well. ive been a fan of both separately since 2015 and through all of these years it was really clear to me that there was some kind of feeling more than just friendship coming from them, especially through their music (that you should really take a look on btw!). shawn mentioned in a interview how he really is a closed person and finds it hard to express his feelings because he was scared and insecure to show vulnerability but camila has been making him change that in a positive way and he's been more confident to open up. judging shawn's sexuality based on the way his act, speaks or whatever is so stupid, and assumind and forcing a sexuality on camila because of a friendship - that clearly no longer exists is disrespectful.

They used to be a perfect couple for me, when they broke up i felt like i had broken up with someone important… now after watching this video their relationship indeed seem less perfect to me, and have less chemistry than i used to think

You have this pretty dead on for not being a huge fan and just learning about them . Shawn has said before in interview (he did prior to dating camila) he wasn't really about pda, if I find the link ill come back and post it. Well camila has said she is literally a koala bear and super affectionate , wants to fall in love like no one is watching and her love language is touch. Shawn loves her so much and was so happy to get her finally that I believe hes adapted to make her happy. Anyone who can see how much hes loved her for years would know he would never reject her affection and make her feel bad, even if he was uncomfortable in public. I think they are both actually introverted and both aren't huge fans of the paps but camila just pretends they aren't there . With the pool footage the paps were actually hiding so people saying its PR are ridiculous lol. They've also been living together for about a year and have a dog together. Shawn expresses so much of himself in his music and is so vulnerable there, that it can be exhausting. I can see why he wouldn't be as vocal about his emotions outside of that. Most artist use music as their escape. Just cause he's emotional music wise, doesn't mean it's easy to be emotional otherwise. He's also a very quiet and timid person, quite introverted. He doesn't have many friends, he only has his close knit. Meanwhile, Camila is quite expressive and loud and outgoing. Very friendly, but i think she's also an introvert. Just more expressive.

I subscribed as soon as you made it clear that the way someone acts or their personality does not determine whether they are gay or not. I was watching this interview of Shawn talking about his newest album and he had mentioned something about almost loosing Camila due to not opening up. Certain things you mentioned made me think of that. Hearing him talk throughout that interview I got the sense he went through a huge transformation and his emotional intelligence seemed to increase a lot especially for his age. I think he’s going through a huge process of being able to be more comfortable with expressing how he feels. If that’s the case I can’t imagine it being easy doing it in the public eye. I think she is that reason for that process/transformation.

People who think this relationship is fake...go and listen to their songs every album, every song just adds up to the story... They're the cutest you can see how Shawn's face turns red when someone takes her name. I'm not a fan girl but this relationship cannot be fake it's in the way they talk about each other, their past, all the songs and their chemistry... It's real!

If you’ve known Shawn for years you already knew a lot of his songs were for Camila if you listen to his 3rd album majority of the songs are about her that album came out in 2018 before they dated and you could tell how much love he had for her and how much she had for him there was always something between them growing up.

Shawn once said that his ego had almost ruined their relationship. So I think this is why it looks like how it looks like. But he love her so much. Btw. in Senorita video..there was so much passion! Just look in his eyes there..it was first "intimate" interaction with her..and just for music video, but he can't hiden the feelings🙏🏻

I’m not used at all to look at famous couples and cheer for them, but honestly I love to see Camila and Shawn together. They are so mature and sweet... their relationship reminds me so much of my own relationship with my bf (and we’re almost 11 years together). I wish all the love and happiness to them and hope they can be together for really long time.

Is not what S and C care about, is what the label and managers care about, that´s the music industry, the decision is not in the artist. They are puppets. In the music industry, nothing is impossible, faking pregnancy exists in the industry as same a fake wedding, that's why I don't trust what artists say, we don´t know what is fake and what is true, in the end, can be a plot twist. (Idk if I wrote this correct, English is not my first language)

If you’ve seen old interviews of them in 2015 when they produced that song together, it’s clear that they liked eachother. As a kid I always saw it and thought, aww they would be such a cute couple, it looks like he likes her. But it was never right timing. After all these years they finally got together like everyone wanted and people are saying it’s just for publicity. It’s not. Even if it was they made that song senorita like 2 years ago. They don’t need the publicity anymore. It would bring them more publicity if they broke up & got with someone else or wrote a breakup song. But they love eachother.

I wanted to write a quick note about the kissing thing. In the beginning he'd give her giant kisses and people started making fun of the way they kissed. They made a video to make fun of it but Camila did say it had really bothered him and I think since then he hasn't given her open mouth kisses in public ever again.

Yeah The only normal couple with no drama in it..😂 like others with on and offs. Breaking up and getting together at times. They are nothing like this. I guess Zigi and Shawmila are the only couple I know that are like perfect.

I think Camila might seem more passionate about their relationship because that's who she is as a person, whether it's with family, friends, or fans, that's just her. She is a very passionate and loving person (that's what I've at least picked up in the many years of being a fan of her and fifth harmony.) Also, I personally can see Camila as a slight flirt, though she seems to see herself as just being friendly. BUT anyways when you really look at Shawn and Camila's relationship and have followed/been a fan of them for a long while, it is noticeable that Shawn is actually the more passionate one when it comes to their relationship, even though he is more shy/private than Camila is about it. That being said, to add in my own opinion/maybe bias, it seems to me that Shawn just loved Camila a lot stronger, or at least he seemed to be more sure in his love for her in the beginning of their relationship. Not to say that she doesn't love him, because she definitely does and I definitely believe their relationship is real. But at the same time, I feel like when they got into their relationship Shawn had already been in love with her, while Camila loved him but wasn't quite in love all the way. I feel like she kind of pushed herself for a while when it came to loving Shawn. She knew he was a great guy (which can be hard to find, especially in that industry), he genuinely loved her as a person/friend, he had a great personality, and they shared the same passions. All around he seems like he would be the perfect guy, and even though it took him a long time, he pursued her. So, I don't want to say Camila was forcing herself to love Shawn in the beginning of their relationship, all I'm saying is that it doesn't seem like she was as sure about him as he was her. Therefore, I think she pushed/encouraged herself to be more loveable with him in the beginning, so that she could be on the same page with him when it came to their relationship. Because again, Shawn seems like the perfect guy. Why wouldn't Camila want that? Though I've followed Camila much more than I have Shawn, it seems to me that he is more secure in himself than she has been in these past few years. She's struggled with anxiety and other things that no one can really be sure of except herself and those closest to her, but I think that had a lot to do with why in the beginning of their relationship he was much more sure in them than she was. And I think Shawn has helped Camila a lot mentally/emotionally just by loving her and sticking by her side. So, yes I do believe they have a real relationship right now. The only thing that I am trying to get across is that I think at the start Camila was a tad bit unsure of herself and of her true feelings.

ALSO talking about Camila's passionate self reminded me of when she and Dinah were at like a fair or shopping around and she did that love meter game and got passionate. Then proceeded to tell Dinah that she's the reason why she is passionate😭😭😭. It made me miss the Caminah friendship so bad😭.

Wow they broke up! From the start of their relationship I felt Camila is the chaser. Shawn seems so chill and he doesnt give the vibe of a guy that’s happy to have her. I actually feel that at the beginning Shawn was the chaser than he got bored while Camila was trying to work on the relationship. Also I feel that Shawn was more into the idea of being in a relationship than actually being completely into the relationship for the long haul.

I think he just has a feminine energy because he’s vulnerable and open and reserved etc. o think it’s just his energy.

The PDA thing is also sometimes upbringing. My husband and I are super cuddly and affectionate at home but not AT ALL in public. We just didn't see those kind of touchy-feely relationships growing up, so we feel weird to be affectionate in public as well. I think Camilla and Shaun are adorable together. Maybe they are both like Bi, but they still seem really into each other, and that's what's important ❤️
