Mary! Here's something I wanted to mention for a while: My best friend and I have spent long hours doing classic songs on our 4-track. Most of them were just songs we liked, but once in a while we would write our own songs. One was called "The Man From San Antone", about a cowboy who knew he was going to die in a gunfight. I started with "So fair thee well my Tatiana..." but I got stuck for a minute to come up with another name after "Tatiana"... and then I wrote "And give my love to Mary Spender"! It wasn't a great song - but your name was in it, so we kept it. My friend and I are fans of yours!

There is a Martin Signature Guitar of a german author, who sold over 2 million copies of his guitar learning book since 1975.

I don't have a Martin yet, but one day I am sure will own one. I hope "the one" will be your signature model.

Signtaure Martin: YES!. Make it an OM size body (of course, since that's what you play*), a pointy cutaway (like the ES-175, this is rare in acoustics but looks good** and gives slightly better upper fret access), with a 14-fret neck (normal) but with a slotted headstock (usually only available with 12-fret necks but looks lovely on a steel string (See the Martin John Renbourne model (but 12 frets, sigh)), and you've got me. *: See, I am thinking of you, not just myself. (And if you beleve that, I've got a bridge...) **: A lot of cutaway acoustics look really bad.

I'd never before heard of Adult Swim, so when that came up I was imagining wild stuff. 😶

The only thing we have in common I am a city person and not only city but BIG city. Lived most my life in L.A. and other big cities now old and wanting to cut expenses and constant insane traffic I've move to what I think of as a small town. To me it's small but it's a city of about 165K people. I miss living in L.A., Boston, Oakland. The population of the city of L.A. is bigger than entire population of many states. Back in the day I got a last minute call to roadie for a big British band leaving in a few days I had worked for their manager on other groups. He told me one of the British roadies they brought to the US had never been here before. When he realized how big the US is he freaked out thinking he'd get lost and next get back to England. So they sent him home and called me. To bad for him because it was one of the best tours I ever worked.

I don't have any suggestions for the relationship rumor mill but I'm curious: I know you love bicycling and you said you don't have a car right now, have you tried motorcycling? If not, I highly recommend it and bet you'd be a natural.
