Data element I m not able to understand the concept, after the hop you have explained. But yeah your videos are awsm very helpful for me to understand whole concept. Looking forward for more videos on data governance, separated video on data stewardship etc.

Hi Manjari, data element basically means anything at the attribute level - live a column in a table, etc.

It's like following rules and laws, just like how you follow the rules at school or at home. So, Lineage helps with regulatory compliance by keeping a record of where information or data comes from. Let's say a company needs to follow rules about keeping customer information safe, like their names and addresses. Lineage can show exactly where this information came from, who had access to it, and what was done with it. Here's an example: Imagine you order a cool new gadget online. The company has to make sure your payment info is secure, and they have to follow laws about it. Lineage would help them keep a record of who got your payment info, where it was stored, and how it was protected. If there's ever a question about whether they followed the rules, they can use Lineage to prove they did everything right. Hi Venkat - there are industry standard tools like Collibra's Manta, ASG's Becubic, etc available for the same purpose.
